I think the problem is that we have an intelligent man with no charisma in charge. The idea of him not knowing what he's doing with the economy is a bit absurd. There are few more experienced.

I don't like that aspect of politics, but I honestly believe Mr Cameron will get into the top job almost entirely based on his charisma. And the image of that charisma is even further slanted by the press- they have a crazy amount of power over public opinion. But I'll get off my soapbox now.

i totally agree, although as far as I understand Gordon Brown did also adjust the way the banking industry is monitored so that (i think) 3 different government organizations were in place to monitor different parts. But what backfired was the fact that the different organizations didn't really communicate with each other, further more weren't entirely sure about what their exact tasks, meaning things like the Northern Rock slipped through the net, as a direct result of Gordon Browns policy.

I watched the Prime Minister's question hour a couple weeks ago, and it was utterly ridiculous; the politicians spent more time criticizing one another's outfits than they did discussing relevant issues.

The politician's politican was undemocratically "installed" in place of Mr Shiny, pragmatic lawyer. Mr Brown never was "the Right Stuff" PM material anyway. No no your right, but I am certain people who arn't loyal to the party focus mainly on the leader in terms of where they are gonna place their vote. I find it ridiculous the government can just decide to change leaders half way through a term. Gordon Brown would stand a very low chance in a general election, as he has no charisma.
