@Agamiestan What a sick joke (literally).EPLF closed its road to Sudan to the TPLF at the height of the famine so TPLF was unable to bring in food supplies for a week. During that period 100,000 Tigrinyans were raised to build a rough road form Tigray to Sudan many people died because of starvation but many were saved thanks to the quick act. But the favor will be returned in due time.

I remember the original reports in 1984 started a frenzy of support for the region. I was 10 and among it. It seems to me that what happened as a result was the beginning of the biggest global movement since WII. For a good cause on this occasion.

Oh we had fun watching Spandau Ballet, but I don't remember being told about the circumstances behind it.
