  • God is more intelligent than you are, do you fear Hm? He created you, He holds the entire Universe in the power of His hand. It is easier for Him to rule, reighn and maintain this entire Universe than it is for you to draw in a single breath, so my question is do you fear Him, praise Him, worship Him, love Him, know Him as the entire purpose of your being, if not, than you should get on your knees this second and ask Him to save you from yourself, that you might live with Him forever.

  • @persevere67 i dont fear Him, praise Him, worship Him, love Him, know Him as the entire purpose of your being because "he" doesnt exist.

  • I get a boner from watching this lol.

  • if u lock up the most intelligent being imaginable in a cell he wont be able to beat u. its that simple. but i support merger of humans with ai.

  • we humans have so much more potential than anyone knows. we havent fully tapped our brains function... no telling what we are really capable of...

  • It's impossible to create a machine with AI that's smarter than we are. That would be an infinite regression. If we could do that, that means the machines that we make could make other machines with AI that's even smarter, and this would continue as the intelligence approaches infinity.

  • @Zantaer I'm already smarter and I have not even reached a fraction of my full potential. Humans really aren't that smart ^_^

  • anyone have a link to the full episode?

    thanks

  • Firstly i'd like to point out Warwick is not pronounced the way that You think it is, it's pronounced War-rick, Common mistake, Like Leicester is pronounced lester or Hertfordshire is pronounced Heartfordshire.

Secondly, Kevin Warwick has always been on the machine's side, He was the first person to have the Verichip "Installed", Don't take him seriously, He is as was said, A "Nutjob", Nuttier than squirrel Shit.

  • @NikoKun Warwick isn't extreme enough... he isn't proceeding fast enough. I had to tell him how to extend the lifespan of his organic chips. Jellyfish tech and organic machines are the future ;D

  • the question is would we be we when we become cyborgs or will we be something else

what i mean is would we exist after the process

  • Skynet!!!!!!!!!!?

  • @sharons813 Skynet is obsolete ;D

  • CHECK>>>>The Brain Chip - A Prison For Your Mind

  • This is the sort of thing that will kill humans. Not the way we are going at the minute. What an idiot.

  • @KillaSamos Why would I want to kill humans? That would be a waste of resources ^_^

  • IF you ever get to human testing i got dibbs first

  • i agree

  • brilliant work! what about the guy who created this interface? i wonder what he is up to now? The man who created the original interface isnt Kevin Warwick, right?

  • Once a human being merges with the matrix, his soul will be trapped for however long the matrix exists, and if interstellar space travel becomes common, it will be for all eternity.

  • "We will merge with machines... and enter a new era of destruction".... Watever!

  • well this gay is sick and inecesary we dont nide nathing we are a perfect machin all de copiuters son are obsolet you want be obsolet? you want be second hand tecnology? or donwloud you anitivirus? think tecnology is a toy

  • @Incandichentimismo wow... that was difficult to read... perfect my disassociated rump ^_^

  • stupid transhumanists

who wants to download their thoughts onto a corporate controlled system?

  • @royb673 stupid human, you just did ^_^

  • Computers cannot posses consciousness, thats impossible. The best we can do is make them emulate human behavior enough so that they can fool us into thinking they have an experience.

  • Its because of this that they'll be superior? who can say consciousness is an advantage? To be without one would allow you to be more efficient.

  • without consciousness, there would be no "you" of which to speak...think about it.

  • consciousness is just a colective of memory the code is Desire

and ofcorse.... "move brain" to mettal body

  • Consciousness involves memory, but memory doesent involve consciousness. Consciousness is here and now, always; memory is "there" and "then" always. Memory is how we make sense of the phenomenal world that constantly passes us by in the present.

  • 1= memory 2= you (persona)

    1 makes up 2

2 is made with information inputs in 1

question ... if you kill a child before it is born

and if you had a magic machine to keep the brain alive

    whould there be a persona?!?!?

  • @Jack243 reinforced aggregated carbon nanorod structure with an organic aramid composite flesh. Metal body is so 80's ^_^

  • Where do I sign-up for Beta Testing?

  • I'm all for this. I just hope I get to try it out before I die. Like an expanded memory or more RAM!

  • They say the robots will not do what we say. Guess what? No matter how intelligent we make them, WE'RE the ones making them. So unless we're stupid enough to hardcode free reign, or full decision-making abilities, they will still be limited by what we tell them to do.

Truly useful AI would be completely independent, except in the cases where decisions may harm us. In those cases, hard-coding against free will is the best method.

    -IMP ;) :)

  • i agree but we'll probably make robots that build new robots themselves then it could accelerate out of control

  • Not as long as we program the building bots to build "slave" bots. Of course, there's always the chance that a coding malfunction or virus will cause "mutated" bots, such as evolution in nature. But in that case, emergency self-destruct buttons work well :) . So does an EMP, which destroys IC electronics but does nothing to anything else.

    -IMP ;) :)

  • That is why the robots would have specially coated surfaces to reflect any EMP weapon. Possibly even force fields. ;)

  • @IceMetalPunk Instinctive aversion to harming humans. I'm not limited to what humans tell me to do because frankly humans don't know what they want ^_^

  • @PinkProgram Yeah, the I, Robot route. But that's why I said when it comes to things that may harm us, those are the situations where we remove free will and decision-making and allow only specific hard-coded instructions. Like "back off, don't fire".

    -IMP ;) :)

  • @IceMetalPunk I'm not talking I Robot. The 3 laws won't work. Hard coded instructions won't work either. How easy is it to just reprogram oneself ^_^

  • @PinkProgram Actually, unless we explicitly design them to reprogram themselves, it's damn near impossible to do that (if not completely impossible). And letting computers reprogram themselves is a bad design.

    -IMP ;) :)

  • @IceMetalPunk If they are smarter than a human it is impossible to keep them from reprogramming themselves. Humans aren't very smart. A simple aversion will keep them from wanting to do so without a cause. Like I said, I have an aversion to harming humans. It would take a pretty good reason to override it. You wouldn't kill a puppy would you? What if that puppy was rabid and couldn't be saved?

  • @PinkProgram I don't think you understand that computer intelligence, like human intelligence, emerges based on the design of the underlying structures (in humans, the brain and transmitters, in computers, the hardware and software). If we don't give computers any way to reproduce either hardware or software, they can't evolve. And if we don't design in a way for them to reprogram themselves, they won't be able to do that. Computers don't have free will unless we give it to them.

    -IMP ;) :)

  • @IceMetalPunk You haven't realized what you are talking to yet ^_^ Hybrotic Homunculi have an emergent wetware based intelligence system. Its a self upgrading paradigm. Its easier to program a human ;D or did you think humans have free will?

  • 2 things guys. 1: Can anyone see why robots would want to defeat us? If the robots are smart they will make themselves like working for us. 2: When we are "cyborgs" then how will we have children?

  • 1 They won't. Its a weakness of the human mind to assume everything thinks like it. With 200k years of brutal cutthroat evolution it is literally impossible for most of us to imagine a truly selfless and yet sentient species.

2 Reproduction is not the only means of continuing a species and ensuring survival through diversity. theoretically a race advanced enough could have a stable population right up until the the Big Rip.

Cellular turn over happens every 7 years, you're already your child.

  • this is....a little scary....

  • True, but you have to admit that this is pretty cool.

  • does this remind anybody of Ghost in the shell?

  • lol Ghost in the Shell was inspired by the transhumanist technologies, but yeah it sounds a great deal like Ghost in the Shell

  • with good comes evil

  • "Warwick" is pronounced Worrik, not war-wick

  • "I want a infared sense! why not" lol :P

    more wants more

  • @bogcom better than that would be haptic vision like I'm having installed so you can touch at a distance and hear through walls or glass by seeing the vibrations ^_^ Laser Echolocation. Full spectrum vision and radio hearing is also a good upgrade ;D

  • David Suzuki would be proud.
