Good job on the video. If Apple made such a product, I'd definetely buy it. It's exactly the type of device I want and need, but I would hope they would include a few ports not available on iPads, like more than one USB ports, firewire, multi-card reader, external display port, and if they could put an optical drive and keep the sync port, I wouldn't care if it wasn't the thinnest device as long as it can do all of that with the performance I've come to rely on. Once again thanks to everyone that has commented and read the description. This video was done 2 years before the iPad was introduced and wasn't meant to be a prediction of what a Apple tablet would look like even though many of the features ended up being very similar. Even the full visual mockup turned out to be alot like the real iPad. An interesting note: "iPad" tested the worst out of all names in our Focus group. In hindsight I realize why Apple doesn't do focus groups.

well why not just making a firmware version for the iPad that's what i meant like if you're updating you can do i through iTunes but you can also download a firmware file and then hit shift+restore (windows). but why not just make a firmware file like that if you know how to make it.....

well that's true but you have some tablet PC's that just came out running windows 7 (i don't know if those have USB's) and they can be controlled with a touch of your finger so maybe that's something if you can make it run like that on the iPad.....

Ive tested the iPad, the video quality and peripherals are amazing, especially for video and gamming. Audio is disappointing due to the single sided speakers. Plug a set of bose head phones and you have a very cinematic experience.
