     BRING BACK THE 90s!!!

  • secondo me è il miglior cartone della warner bros! xD

  • Wow, we're going to be a pretty advanced civilization in 45 years.

  • who are the 5 people that thumbed this video down?

  • not in english? cazzo!

  • Is the song, Hello Mah Baby public domain? Cause I wanna use it in one of my videos and I dont want to violate copyright!

  • Any idea who is the voice of the frog?

  • Bendazzi insegna...

  • AH I remember when the tv station WB (back when it was called that) had Michigan J Frog. and he would sing the WB's version of the Michigan Rag.

  • This was definitely one of the best cartoons ever. I've always been impressed with how smart the little guy really was. Actually, he made two cartoon appearances: This one, and "Another Froggy Evening". He also appeared in one of the Tiny Toons episodes where he tortured Hamilton Pig (I never saw it before, keep in mind). I found this info on Animated Lust (now Animated Life) before they lost their characters page. There can be many morals to this story, depending on how you look at it.

  • 2056 AD. Wow, here it comes, everybody.

  • Ahhh my californian childhood!!!

  • That's so sad cartoon.

  • ok, I'm a belligerent pissed up fool; I apologise for the tone of the last comment and would like to say that this cartoon, and the people who like it, are spectacular. They don't make 'em like this any more dudes xxx

  • I love it, thanks for posting!

  • Um dos melhores desenhos animados de todos os tempos.

  • The premiere of Michigan J. Frog.

  • Hmm actually the guy in the future might not be as screwed as his predecessor....since by 2056 youtube exists and hidden cameras.

  • michigan j. frog likely has the power to tell whether he is being recorded. thus it would be impossible to record him using a hidden camera.

  • stop being a prick mate, this is the best 5 minute burst of humour that was ever delivered by the best animation company ever, a work of art that doesn't require analysis, it's a fucking joke dickheads, get it or die painfully

  • Whose the prick you git?

  • THANK YOU! I haven't seen this since I was about 8 years old!

  • Second only to MGM's 1939 materpiece

"Peace on Earth"as the greatest animated

cartoon EVER produced, "One Froggy Evening" tells the best story about greed and avarice of any film short ever made. I don't know why Chuck Jonesdid not get his Oscar for this. The cartoon is almost perfect without a word spoken and was in 1955, is now, and will be in 2056.. one of the best moral tales ever told in animation.

  • What a wonderful piece of work

  • the greatest cartoon ever! an immortal amphibian and a desperate laborer end up in the nuthouse together. classic writing!

  • Out of all the Bugs Bunny episodes, this is by far the best ever!!!

  • lol i remember when i was watching it when i was 5+ cool good times

  • Michigan J. Frog was never identified by that name in the cartoon. Mich never had another cartoon appearance, but was adopted by the WB network as their on-screen mascot. Mich was voiced by Bill Roberts, sometimes Credited As William Roberts. He was a Warner Bros. studio session singer and night club vocalist.

  • I love this

    Simple

    Cute

    awesome

    :D

  • This has to be one of my favourite cartoons !! These Warner Brothers guys were pure genius !!

  • Il miglior cartone della warner tutto il cartone ha una mimica fantastica...e che dire degli effetti audio!

  • Jump, hop, pump the Michigan Rag!

  • yes, this is definitely the best version on you tube, grazie!

    è un capolavoro assoluto.

  • What did you just call me?!

  • una sola parola...

IL MIO CARTOON WARNER BROS PREFERITOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"hello my baby hello my darling hello my ragtime doll , send me a kiss by wire , baby my heart's on fire" GRANDISSIMO MICHIGAN J. FROG !!!!!!!MITO!!!

  • nice quality

  • How does one direct a cartoon?

  • exactly how one directs a movie..

  • Hey d4ysleeper... How fantastic! If I had to choose only one of the shortest cartoons of my childhood, I would choose the "singing frog". PERFECT humour in each very second... It's like... Chaplin in action!!! And you named the songs played... YouTube should pay you for the best of the all "singing frogs" here. Thanks for this.

  • :)

    You're welcome.

Thank you for your comment. This is my favourite cartoon too. And I agree with you. You made a good comparison.

  • lol!

  • LOL! Nothing packs a house like "birra gratis"!

  • When I was little I used to get so pissed off at the frog because he made the man look bad.

    Haha.

  • These were great until the censors got their grubby hands on them. There was a version where the censors took the free beer sign out, how gay is that? Word for the censors, don't f**k with the classics.

  • what is the moral of this story?

  • If a frog is singing, run away.

  • Ho. You. Outside.

  • Jesus Christ, do you people know a joke?!

    Grow some brains, people.

  • Or smart-alecks, at least.

  • Damn. Thanks, d4ysleeper. =D

  • You are welcome QadrupleXBlaze :)

  • Does anyone know the names of all the songs the Frog sings? o.o

  • "Hello! Ma Baby"

music & lyrics by Ida Emerson & Joseph E. Howard(1899)

    "The Michigan Rag"

music & lyrics by Michael Maltese and Chuck Jones (original song written for the cartoon)

    "Come Back to Erin"

music & lyrics by Claribel (pseudonym of Charlotte Alington Barnard),1866

    "I'm Just Wild About Harry"

music & lyrics by Eubie Blake and Noble Sissle(1921)

    "Throw Him Down, McCloskey"

    music & lyrics by John W. Kelly(1890)

  • >>>>

"Won't You Come Over To My House" Music by Egbert Van Alstyne(1906)

    "Largo al factotum"

    from "The Barber of Seville"

    Composed by Rossini(1816)

"Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone"

  • I wonder whats the name of the song he sings when the guy is in the psychopathic hospital?

  • It's called "please don't talk about me when I'm gone"

lyrics & music by Sidney Clare, Sam H. Stept and Bee Palmer (1930)

  • smarate

  • Ha Ha,...Isn't it amazing the crap you can start on youtube; people love to freak out when they disagree with a differing opinion...

    See, the name calling begins....

  • Abashal, it's ok to interpret a cartoon, movie or lyrics according to our own beliefs and values, but that's like you said: an opinion. I like to see this cartoon simply as a message to those who like to explore others to profit on their habilities, but, again, if you decide to see something else, that's ok.

  • If you refuse me honey you'll lose me then you'll be left alone.. listen to what's being said...

  • Oh baby telephone and tell me I'm your own.. God's saying that he wants your praise

  • It's amazing how many movies and cartoons speak a specific message yet it goes right over our heads

  • "Hello! Ma Baby" is a "coon song" with African-American caricatures on the sheet music and language stereotypes and ethnic references in the lyrics, such as "I is" instead of "I am". It's about a man who only knows his girlfriend through the telephone. Don't think that everything is spiritual, even if it seems like it.

  • I was referencing abashal's comment below me.

  • Besides, I was just expressing an opinion about the writers possible expression, it doesn't mean that its true!!

  • That's fine, but explain why the frog will not perform before others; sometimes there's a story behind the idea of a cartoon that the writer is trying to explain or reveal. I understand that not everything is spiritual but sometimes we need to look beyond the obvious. Outside the Matrix.

  • Are... are you retarded?

  • What's the matter Nick, are you afraid to look outside the Matrix?

  • Yes, the second and third films were so bad, I just dont want to get hurt again

  • What is the underlying message here? could it be - JC-JESUSCHRIST Wilber-WILLBEYOUR-CORNERSTONE. He cant be put in a box and expected to PERFORM at will. Some people such as preachers love to use him for self gain such as MONEY!! EXCELLENT DISPLAY OF HOW WE AS HUMANS TAKE GOD FOR GRANTED!!!! THIS WRITER WAS BRILLIANT, AND ALL WE SEE IS A CUTE CARTOON!!

  • Figaroooo lalalalala la -la!

  • fucking froggy,,, very fun haha

  • Bill Roberts, a nightclub entertainer in Los Angeles in the 1950's was the singer in this cartoon. This was Chuck Jones' best cartoon ever!!

  • This was one of my all-time favorites when I was little! Thanks so much for posting this! Now I can share it with my daughter! :) :) :)

  • awesome video!

  • Poor guy!!!!

  • 1:16 SOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!

  • 1:18

    Classic look!

  • A classic, and it came out when I was only three months old! Seeing how timeless it looks makes me feel younger, somehow!

  • You're right! It doesn't matter how old we are, watching cartoons is always enjoyable :)

    Thank you for your comment.

  • The appropriate ending to this is that the space-suited man films the frog and puts it up on Youtube.

  • :)

    yeah, it might be...

  • This ain't america.

    This is

    THE INTERNET.

  • best cartoon EVER.

  • Don't be a complete moron. The only thing the Italian voice-over is doing is explaining what the English text says.

  • I didn't think it would be so much disturbing for you to watch it. As StochasticOoze said: it is only the Italian voice-over explaining what is written in English. I also found the original video, which is silent(except the singing parts of course), but I did not post it because there were already too many 'one froggy evening' videos and this one was favorited 127 times..So I didn't want to erase it, because some people could have loosened it after watching it randomly without knowing its name..

  • You are such an idiot it amazes me. Keep your ignorance to yourself, you feeble little cunt

  • This is not how Jesus wants us to act, let's all love one another or the Terrorists really win.

  • lol, you're right

  • williamspear2: you know jesus was a terrorist, as far as the romans was concerned, difference is they managed to get their guy, to bad it later backfired thow

  • this never gets old. just love it!!!

  • I don't think that, in the year 2056, you would be able to make money off a ragtime frog. A hip-hop or techno frog, maybe....

  • Not that you'd ever get him to sing on camera, even in 2056, Michigan's just too quick.

  • So Sympathic Frog !!!!!

  • who sang ? it sounds like al jolsen..

  • [Source:wikipedia] The identity of the singer who voiced Michigan Frog's original story was unclear and has been shrouded in some degree of mystery. He was definitely not done by Warner's primary voice artist,Mel Blanc. Some identified him as Terrence Monck. The 1998 Rhino compilation Warner Bros.75Years of Film Music identified him as Richard Beavers. However, the Looney Tunes Golden Collection unequivocally credits the vocals to Bill Roberts, a nightclub entertainer in Los Angeles in the 1950s.

  • thanks for the info...i always wonder the singer on this classic

  • man, this cartoon has been known since waaaaay back in 1955? the picture on this vid looks brand new!

  • this cartoon owns!

  • Even on the TV series News Radio an episode included "Beth" Vickie Lewis mentioning this toon, when trying to describe a bi-polar nutcase new employee...Funny!

  • Studios often do restoration work.

  • i love this old cartoon! i love how the frog goes all cheery singing straight to boring and silent making no sounds but that croak! it sounds funny when it croaks! i also love how at 2:19 it plays that ridiculous-sounding music when that guy makes the frog dance! then he stops and the frog looks all embarrassed and just croaks again! LOL! classic! brings back childhood memories!

  • if you could upload one without the itallian talking?

  • Wonderful!!!!! You know, if only that guy wasn't so damn greedy, he could have such a good time with the frog singing for him ;)

  • =) I totally agree with you!

these are really catchy songs though it might be unpleasant to have a frog singing like an am radio that you can't turn off

  • i remeber this from when i was little!

  • Great stuff!

    Thanks for posting.

  • Excellent! Was a fun trip back to my childhood! :-)

  • The frog always reminds me of that Chappelle's Show skit with the blackface frog.

  • I finally found also that original version, but it's silent

  • Great cartoon! Can you upload it in english though?

  • OK, as soon as I find its english version I will..but almost everything spoken in italian you can see written in english

    Thanks for rating

    cheers!
