What's not athletic about bodybuilding? They work out hard, get physical and mental results, and many of them compete in competitions. I'm no bodybuilder, but I know the difference between someone going for a walk and an athlete.

By my personal definition, I wouldn't call a Bodybuilder an athlete. So, you're saying that everyone that lifts weights is an athlete, I just wouldn't agree. Plus, if you joined a debate team, you'd compete but, that wouldn't make you an athlete. Personally to me, an athlete is someone who shows how they can use there body to be the best through physical activities. BTW, I'm a bodybuilder/powerlifter in-training so it's nothing against BB's.

I'm not saying that just anyone that lifts weights is an athlete, but I'm sure you know where to draw a fine line. Think of a typical jogger vs. a marathon runner who competes. It's too bad you don't think you're an athlete.

I'm curious how you can be/train to be a bodybuilder and a powerlifter at the same time. They are two very different things/sports/body types.

@Raufjed Katka recently announced that she is changing over to being a fitness competitor instead of bodybuilding. I think the issue was that in order for her to push further into bodybuilding, she would have to start taking steroids, HGH or other cheats to keep up with the competition. She wants to stay clean and it is much easier to do this as a fitness competitor.
