Ussually heavyweight boxers are slow and unaware of their legs, because all those have to do is carry them around. In kickboxing, moving like for instance McDermott does here is one sure way of getting defeated on a lowkick TKO every time.

I know about Pele and his kick-boxing credentials nobody disputes that. What is sad is to see a potential champ being so arrogant, ignore his weaknesses and fail to adapt sensibly to capitalise on his strengths. Meanwhile Klitschko is a very intelligent bloke who has acheived beyond his wildest dreams as a boxer simply because he knows and works beautifully around his own limitations. Had a meteoric rise in his first few box matches and then reality set in when ambitious Journey man Julius Francis slapped him about the mouth. peles a lau gar fighter. check out the stance and dropped lead hand. I never followed him once he hit the boxing scene, but he was sure good as a lau gar tournament fighter; one of the best. Not many Martial artists cna make the transition from Martial Arts to Boxing; a few have tried. Always thought Kirkland Lang (think that was his name) was a Lau fighter.

I sparred with Pele before he went to K1 Japan, and for a HW, his hand speed is the nuts, I was 14 1/2 stone at the time and managed 8 x 3 rounds with him, I rated him before, and I have rated more so him since. Respect to a great British Fighter!
