Kalhor is a great master of traditional and progressive Persian music. Certainly his collaborations transcend borders and walls of arts and culture in a way that is vital and relevant. He is an inspiration to thousands of thousands !
Guys...please stop talking about tribal issues...this is about music and music is a universal language and don not care about any ethnicity or religion or race or....Thanks!
he is from Iran. You can't say he is Kurdish. He is persian. Also there is a slight possibility for his being Kurdish, because 30 million Turkish people live in Iran. He is more likely to be TUrkish.
why you (turkish) never want to admit some reality ??? i'm not a liar.... just admit, we are muslim please... we have to behave ourselves... if you don't believe, you search by yourself...
what a crap! 30 million turkish people lives in Iran!!! It's a big joke regardless of this fact that Nationality is not defined by the tribal belongings but the country you born in...
You yourself can you proof how much you're turkish in blood since only 5 generation before your parents?!
acually, it is a fact that azeri people are indigenous, they are irano-caucasian, only their language has been replaced by the turko-mongols (genetic tests showed it)... consequently, the only turks in Iran are the turkmens and the few qashkais...
Ofcourse theyre Iranians. Azar means Atash & is a Persian term & Azarbayjan actually is Azarpayegan. After the invasion of Arabs, the letter P & G replaced by B and J due to Arabic vocals.
Azarpaygan or Azarbayjan means the Base for the Fire as we had 1000s year old fireplaces or Atashkadeh there.
Zartosht was born there and so many o our great mans like Babak & Sattar khan are from that Sacred land.
After invasion of Turks the language of that area was impacted as the closest region to them.
There is no one who respects the Kamancheh more than Kayhan Kalhor. The way he plays it shows the passion of this man for his instrument, his culture...
Is the song just arranged for interview? coz I really can't find it.Could someone please post the name of the song?

Peki biz türkler neden
Bir çok Türk devleti varken
Kendi içimizde bile sorunlar yaşıyoruz
Neden biz böyleyiz....?
