  • Bobby I Love You!!!

  • Let's see Elvis swing like this! Dude could do everything.

  • @CDonches Elvis covered stuff like this in the late 60's. But Darin was insane!!

  • @CDonches Go listen to "Stranger In My Own Town" and "Rubberneckin"

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! Thankx.

  • Sorry but it Just too White.

  • @ksull01 Anything against whites? Are we forced to yell the way you do?

  • @ksull01 hey sammy davis jr said that bobby had more rhythm than he did.

  • @ksull01 - this isn't about race it's about Mr BD being awesome

  • GOD THAT SOLO IS DISGUSTING

  • really talented

  • Really REALLY talented. Dang that rhythm.

  • Groovy.

  • pretty good Im impressed. I enjoy the vibraphone. Remeber the NBC peacock and the chime

  • i smell this being in an AXE commercial in the near future...

  • I had no idea BD had so much talent. Very impressive. I was expecting a white bread version, and was pleasantly surprised. R.I.P.

  • Bobby grew up in Harlem and had spent many hours of his youth watching performances at the Apollo theater. Way ahead of his time. Sadly missed.

  • I thought he was from the Bronx?

  • White bread? Not Bobby. Even Sammy Davis said Darin had more rhythm than him.

  • How could I have ignored the xylophone for so long?

  • Sickkkk

  • This video itself, is worth a thousand words. What a talent!.

  • It's refreshing to see someone tear up the xylophone like that. Bobby was one of the greatest.

  • Hey can anyone tell me if thats really him making the harmonica sound? Thanks

  • Absolutely it's him, you can see him play it in alot of the videos on youtube. See Last Medley and Interview with Johnny Carson.

  • JoanOfArc14 I agree. If I had ever gotten ahold of Bobby, I would have turned him every which way but loose. He was so cute, sexy, intelligent, sweet, plus he had tons of talent. I'm so glad his videos are on YouTube for us new fans to get to know him.

  • Amen sista Hickory Rose!! He also had that Italian Sicilian thing going on, and I loooooved that New York Bronx accent, I could listen to him recite the phone book and get excited. Yes, all hail youtube!!!

  • I've bought all his LPs & CDs & his DVDs and VHS tapes of his movies. Plus I have bought all of the biographies. I can't get enough of Bobby. I scour Amazon and Ebay regularly!

  • Been huge Darin fan since Mack in 59, to this day

had no idea he could play the vibes like that.

All I can say is "WoW"!

  • I have officially become an internet Bobby Darin stalker!!! Can't help myself! Ok, he plays EVERY instrument just about on the stage! AND he was nominated for an Oscar! Just too much talent gone too soon. What a Dream Lover!!! For some reason his sexiness really stands out in the black and white videos and photos, maybe it's just nostalgia. He never got the credit he deserved, maybe he finally will! Hardly anyone knew about his heart condition, I just cried when I heard he had died.

  • When i saw him pick up those sticks i thought maybe it wasn't such a good idea..... but....then...he just wipes the floor with that song! Bobby D is one cool cat if i ever saw one

  • You can feel how much he likes working....

  • One word: Amazing!

  • this is great!

but how comes people start clapping before he finishes the song?

    Thanks for posting

  • Geez, he plays the harmonica and vibes too? Is there anything this guy couldn't do/

  • To me it shows Bobby's all around talent I been around blues singers he's doing a helluva job.

  • Is this what black people saw when they first heard Clapton and the Stones?

  • i didn't know he played the marimba or hrmonica or played guitar. More talet than ever.

  • WELL THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HEARD BOBBY DARRIN SINGING I GOT MY MOJO WORKING I LIKE BOOBY AND THE SONG BUT NOT DONE BY BOBBY tHANKS gOD bLESS

  • You know, caps locks may be cruise control for cool, but even in cruise control you still need to steer.

  • I Love Bobby Darin, a great talent, such a shame he died so young, there are certain songs he should not have sung, and this classic blues tune does not sound good in a up tempo jazzy version. sorry to be so negative. I Love Bobby Darin, and I Love this song, but not together. My Simon Cowell act for the day.

  • Nice post! Bobby is so under-rated!

Great song and video, thank you!

  • Ahhh. She got my 'long programme' tonight ; )

  • hehehe!

  • Oh so this is 'Mojo' I had it all wrong! This is great! Thanks for post and santamara for sharing!

  • Starting 5th December 2008, BBC Radio 2 is broadcasting a 4-part documentary series called BOBBY DARIN: A MAN IN A HURRY. You can listen to it online anytime from anywhere in the world by logging on to the BBC RADIO 2 website.

  • thanks.

  • There is something he can't do....

    Singing bad =P

    Perfect entertainer...

God why did he have to die so early?

    Weird world.

The best always die to early....

  • wat cant that man do

  • had a big problem : too much talent......he was a white black man who could play anything, write songs, loved all styles of music, and was on a known short-fuse. Up there with Elvis for Mojo !!

  • perfectly said....Bobby & Elvis were good friends! MOJO MOJO ON ME, he heee This video is truely brilliant !!!!!! dh

  • I love the sexy daddy.

  • Whos says white men cant groove?

Bobby Darin LEGEND. We miss ya.

  • @scatmando hes italian though lol mostly anyway

  • Your mojo works on me Bobby. In 2008 no less. Oh man, went out and finally bought some decent speakers, with sub-woofers, for the internet, and went straight to youtube and Bobby Darin for the ceremonial first listen. What a thrill. Love you forever Bobby.

  • Yeah!!!

  • Bobby Darin is a great entertainer, IF anyone has his version of "what'd I say" he did a version of this song that is awesome.

  • Like Torme, he's the ultimate feel performer

  • Bobby put so much into every performance, he was all about showmanship, the man was simply an amazing man, he could sing, write songs, dance play five different musical instruments and an academy nominated actor he was brilliant. Thanks for posting.

  • Your so sexy sweet Bobby hot fine daddy I'd like to make you feel good

  • he was on public radio once and did some blues stuff on his guitar...man....hes talented...seems like a naighborhood kid too...he was funny too

  • Bobby Darin was truely amaaaaazing!!!!!! Always absorbed into the moment***making his audiance feel what he was feelin***he lived to perform!!!!! Sooooo missed & Loooooved.....dh

  • if this isn't the definition of showmanship, i cant even imagine what better would be like!

  • Far superior to Elvis. Taken too soon. Excellent. Thank you for posting.

  • Really, Incredible performer, Incredible musician. Had no idea how good he was and how much fun.

  • this one video showcase how much talent this man had...he can not only sing, write songs, dance, act but play instruments as well.. and his music ranges from pop, ballad, jazz, folk.... loved this guy...

  • Bobby Darin - just a class act all the way....

  • i have been watching a bunch of bobby Darrin clips today and its amazing how he just turns every number he does into a show stopper. he puts his whole soul into it every time. it makes me feel sad when i consider things like American idol were there just taught to pose and sing well just to become stars and not really caring what the words there singing are really about.

  • Geez I never knew the guy could play the Vibes too. Thanks for the clip.

  • Somewhere beyond the sea

Bobby waits for you and me!

  • Interesting fusion of styles from the blues, played inside the ribs of a glowing pumpkin. But man, he sure bop those vibes good!

  • How much I see Bobby, I surprise myself with so much talente he did. He is the best.

  • Wow, this is the first time I've heard him sing. He was awesome!!

  • is there nothing he cant do?

    Geneious IQ.

    music ledgend

    actor

    dancer

    writer

    Gentleman

    showman

    the list goes on

  • Thank you so much for this Clip!!! I really didn't know that Bobby played vibes. In a great sense, he was a scary musician LOL!

  • I know his grandmother taught him the piano; who taught him all the others or was he one of those lucky people who just....KNOW?

  • It's so cool to see this man evolve his style. Damn, and he's playing the xylophone? I bet he and Sinatra are jamming in Heaven right now....:0 They are both legends in their own ways.

  • just pure talent, where has it all gone?

  • What a talented man. And to think someone actually said there's no such thing as the perfect man. ;) *Sigh* Your mojo is workin' on me Bobby!

  • Frank Who? Bobby Darin was 20X the talent Sinatra had. Darin was the very definition of cool and smooth. RIP Bobby!

  • Booby darin was good but he was no sinatra...

  • well I certainly will agree that you are entitled to your own bad taste :0P

  • Man he was smooth

  • As far as I know, I was the only vibes teacher Bobby Darin ever had! He learned this in ONE lesson (1958 NYC).

At 79 years, I'm still playing every night in Houston,TX

    Harry Sheppard

  • What the heck!!! That's pret-ty crazy. Only Bobby could make the vibes work!!! Love that.

  • Oh my God... Bobby Darin doing it funky!! This is great!! Anyone know what year this was??

  • It was July 27, 1972. Show #1 of "The Bobby Darin Amusement Company", a summer replacement for the "Dean Martin Show".

  • I didn't know he could play harminica or vibes! He's great! Just as good at those as he is at singing! Wow. Great clip.

  • I'm no bobby Darin authority, but from what I've read, he played virtually every instrument.

  • I always love to see/hear Bobby playing vibes. And here he really gets down on it, his whole body vibrating to the tune. Thanks for posting this!

  • esküszöm legközelebb lefosom a bokám :) pfuhha basszus hogy ez mit tud!!!!

  • The Darin At The Copa CD has him on the vibes (to nice applause). Imagine the maturity of this guy who at 22 or 23 won over the pop music world with an unheard of versatility not even Sinatra, Bennett or Torme ever had.

  • Never knew he played vibes (not xylophone)and he played mean. This guy could swing.

  • killer bassline.

  • Never expected to hear blues xylophone, but if anyone can make something transcendent it's Bobby Darin. I'm just awestruck every time I see and hear him. What a powerhouse. Love the helloutofya Bobby.

  • Music maestro Bobby Darin. He could do ANYTHING.

  • obvoiusly not as good as muddy waters but i nice version very talented man

  • MUDDY WHO???

  • More talent in his little finger than any modern day artist.. Bobby you left the party too early !!
