  • Heather's pretty hot.

  • Mike Ross is the best at everything!

  • I truly am jealous of both Mike Ross's excellent hair and his amazing adventures with Gootecks.

  • 6:32 at the background hsien ko

  • See this is what I'm talkin about. I fucking love the fighting game community.

  • MvC3 will be so cheap! Lol you got counter these unblock-able set-ups on reaction. The game is so fast though...

  • I love The Glitch Mob.

  • Whoever edit's these video's had good taste in music..

  • Great episode guys.

  • I thought there was going to be gameplay footage in this video. There's no actual gameplay until about halfway through and it's only for about 30 seconds. Then at about 11 minutes in they show a few unblockable moves. Lots and lots of talking. You have been warned.

  • Just gonna say, Bionic Commando Rearmed was the shit, and the soundtrack made it even better. I'm expecting big things from Rearmed 2.

  • Did capcom put un blockables in on purpose?

  • GHOST TRICK. YES<4

  • Can't freakin' wait..

  • THIS VIDEO MADE ME A MAN

  • Lmao Mike, is like , "Im already the best at okami"

  • Thumbs up for free pizza and beer.

  • Nice wrack focus on that vegas skyline. I choked on my breath there..

  • ok JUSTIN WONG, kinda looks like actor JUSTIN LONG.

  • What is the song in the background?

  • Man, nice coverage Mike, Gootecks.

    Thanks.

  • Unblockables in MvC3. Joy.

Oh well, to each his own. Me personally, I'd stick with a balanced game instead of this...I hardly know what to call it. Having every character be able to overpower everyone else may be nice for some, but given the sheer number of special moves and characters....

    Plus, Felicia blows.

  • @SithLordRagnos I agree.

  • @SithLordRagnos The Youtube Generation... whine, whine, whine. 'Nerf this, nerf that, this is OP, why can't U block' etc etc. It is because of this mentality fighting games of these day will probably NEVER reach legendary status that games like 3S and MVC2 achieved. Because as soon as something a player doesn't understand is introduced, they cry about it and stamp their feet like petulant children till they game is neutered by stupid and thoughtless patches.

    No disrespect intended.

  • @datriadx18: Anyone who thinks Third Strike and MvC2 was 'legendary' instantly loses me.

    No disrespect.

  • @SithLordRagnos People say that because those games represent what a real fighting game is. SSF4 is by far the easiest sf game ever created and mvc3 is on the same level as ssf4 in terms of how easy it is compared to its predecessors. 3rd strike and mvc2 were deep complicated technically sound games that required time and skill to be good at them. They are STILL finding out new things about 3rd strike 10 years later.

  • @wopetgjsgvn: The only new thing it brought to the table (besides all the annoying characters) is the ability to not take chip damage, even from Supers, by mashing buttons, and rendering fireballs virtually worthless.

  • @SithLordRagnos The ability to not take chip damage and the parry system that renders fireballs useless are both facets of the strategy of the game. 3S Was revolutionary and the reason the community widely considers it the best sf game ever made (sorry super turbo fans) is because of that very reason. It takes traditional sf strategy that has been around for years and throws it out the window and forces you to think on a different level to be successful.

  • @wopetgjsgvn: If you like the game, fine. (I've seen people defend Felicia and Morrigan as actual characters instead of blatant sex appeal.) But don't put words in people's mouths by saying, in essence, everyone thinks it's the best game ever made.

  • @wopetgjsgvn: If you like the game, fine. (I've seen people defend Felicia and Morrigan as actual characters instead of blatant sex appeal.) But don't put words in people's mouths by saying, in essence, everyone thinks it's the best game ever made.

  • @SithLordRagnos Look around the community. Check srk and eventhubs hell even gamefaqs or talk to high level players and you will find that the vast majority of the community does in fact consider the 2 aforementioned games as the best ever created. Do they have things that are bad about them? Absolutely but on a total fighting game level encompassing everything from fun to skill to strategy etc those games are sagat. (king) BTW I am in total agreement with you about Morrigan and Felicia

  • @wopetgjsgvn: The thing is, those same sites said that Guile's decreased recovery on his Sonic Booms wouldn't affect his tier placements at all, among other things...

I'm not trying to disparage you or your opinions, I'm just saying you have to pick and choose the good things from those sorta sites.

  • @SithLordRagnos Once again I TOTALLY agree with you on that. Thats why I mentioned speaking to advanced players as well. I used those sites more as a reference point. I live in NY and I am friends with a few pros and I play with them, go to tournaments, chill and talk about games with them and its practically unanimous at least here within the East coast that those games are the best. Not just because they say so but because I also play those games and can attest to their greatness firsthand.

  • @wopetgjsgvn: I'm not sure I'll ever be able to play Third Strike, even if I wanted to, because I refuse to buy a console and even the 'new' Online Edition will be console-exclusive.

But more power to you; the world would be a dull place if everyone felt the same way! ;)

  • @SithLordRagnos I personally am a console whore so that factors a lot into the games I play I guess lol. I love mvc2 and 3s but I primarily play super like everyone else although I prefer 3s. I think Online edition will be really successful once its released....hopefully. How do you play if you do not own a console? Arcade? offline?

  • @wopetgjsgvn: I've yet to get totally into the game, but if I do, I'll most likely play online a fair bit.

  • @wopetgjsgvn i don't know many tournament players who think 3s is the best sf game, and i know a lot of players. even many of the guys who dominated it never really liked it. some people think it's the best, of course, but no more now than think the same about alpha2 or alpha3. the only reason 3s was popular for so long was that no good capcom fighter came out for most of a decade; all it took to kill its competitive scene was a single new game. it has none of the staying power of st or mvc2.

  • @UltraDavid dude 3rds was HUGE in japan. They had guilty gear and mvc2, for some reason the japs hate mvc2, but they prefer 3rd strike.

  • @wopetgjsgvn

Most pros don't consider 3S to be the best. Daigo himself said (in one of the road to socal videos) that he only played it for the competition. He didn't like it much. Other pros have expressed the same opinion. The consensus among pros is that ST is the best. The only reason 3S was played so much is that it was one of only 2 fighting games worth a damn for over a decade; the other being mvc2.

  • @wopetgjsgvn im with you on that man ,im a strider doom player and an oro/q player in 3rd strike,And i love technical shit , with under tiers you gotta be good,mvc3 looks easy in execution of combos and all that, but strategically looks deeper than mvc2.

  • @datriadx18 Well fuckin said

  • @datriadx18 I'd say they aren't going to reach the status of the other games because developers keep dumbing them down for the casual crowd.

  • @datriadx18

But the gaming companies such as Capcom will always try to please the scrubs because theyre like bitchy customers at a resturant, you have to appeal to them. In MvC2, scrubs complained but they stayed in their own little bubble fighting each other. But once MvC2 went online, that caused a lot of problems in which that caused Capcom to use that issue to fuck up MvC3 to appeal to a broader community. But nothing changed, as they will STILL complain regardless.

  • This man said second place gets salt and Vinegar Pringles...sounds kinda awesome right now.

  • Justin Wong seems move happy over the Pringles than the game lol

  • @YanDaMan263 haters gona hate

  • 1:13 the dead pixel from machinima?

  • 6:30 - Getting Jiggy

  • This video just sold me this game, im getting it!

  • Capcom bring MvC3 to the Carolinas or DMV :)

  • what is the pringles joke behind marvel? EXPLAIN AND DISCUSS!!

  • @thefiremanscomin Its a reference to the chip damage in MVC2, which usually makes turtling pointless, so the term came about when someone was clever enough to say something like, "So you just gonna sit there and block huh? You gonna sit there and enjoy your pringles while I'm beating you down?" Something to that extent I believe.

  • @Jeremy7809 more like being pringles = easy to open up.

  • @Jeremy7809

Pringles = once you pop, you can't stop

Magneto = once he gets you in a combo, he doesn't stop til you're dead.

  • I want a special can of pringles.

  • Amaterasu

  • hahaha its dead pixel

  • @ChrisDX fat bastard

  • looks like jumping is gonna be needed to get out of the high low unblockables

  • look at how full Justin Wong's beer is

  • Great video guys.. excellent coverage of this event. Very professional.

  • Looks a smashing time chaps!

  • Ol' Chunder Thighs almost looks...PUNY compared to She-Hulk here. O_o

  • SF4 we fight like gentleman

MvC3 we get our fight money at any cost

    SF4 = Dudley

    MvC3 = Balrog

  • @StreetTrooper SF4 is not a gentleman's game. You suck.

  • @StreetTrooper Woah, that actually makes sense.

  • @StreetTrooper but dudley has the crazy combos like mvc3 and balrog has godlike normals for footsies = sf4

  • @StreetTrooper hey man i like the way you put this out

    yes SSF4 = Dudley

    MVC3 = Dirty Bull ...

10x dude this is exactly what i was looking for

  • Did Ultradavid ever enter a tourny with his Hakan?

  • MvC3 already looks broken...wonder how many times Capcom will release this one....SF4 had 3 re-releases.

  • Lol i had a giant deja vu, cuz i kept remembering stuff i heard from the stream

  • great seeing all kinds of games in this video.

  • I'm down with the mix ups

  • This is so awesome, this is the greatest community known to man. Fighting games FOREVER!

  • music by glitch mob

  • I love this.

  • JUSTIN ASIAN GLOW WONG!

  • 10:03

"i cant find a character that just displeases me other that ryu."

u gotta be kidding me. they DID change ryu's combos and made them worse, but is it really that bad. i main ryu in tatsunoko and his combos were sick, but when i played ryu in nycc, i noticed his combos were really dumbed down, and for such a short ranged player that shouldnt happen. his shinku hadouken is really powerful at least.

  • @CupofAverageJoe He doesn't have an IAD. So he can't get in as easy.

  • whats the name of that first song? it is the dopeness

  • God Keits is such a weasly little faggot

  • @heyyybrian pfft. keits would beat yo ass

  • Cute woman. Please marry me =)

  • lol motogp man

  • You two are like ambassadors of awesome shit.

  • Ya'll are just living the life, and I enjoy watching it. Keep the good stuff coming.

  • Unblockables, yes. Now its sounding like MvC.

  • I really liked this episode! What do everybody think about Akuma being in MvC3?

  • "I won't say the imbalance, but the idea that characters should be powerful instead of fair."

Maybe its just me, but i find it lame that he likes how the game isn't balanced.

And when they were talking about the unblockable attacks, and Mike Ross says "I think they call that cheap where i come from." And then ultra david says "thats awesome." I just don't like people who like "cheap" shit in video games...but whatever. Everybody can't be good so they have to find shit to exploit.

  • @TWebb4 You can have a balanced game with powerful character just as long as every character is somewhat equally as powerful. If it were unbalanced, then some characters would be too strong and other would be too weak.

  • @TWebb4 Their is no such thing as cheap, if you can do it at a tournament then its a go. And whats it matter if the game has really powerful characters, if you play casually (which I'm guessing you do) balance dosent have much of an importance if your just gonna play with your friends. Plus balancing by making everyone stronger is always a better way to balance a game. And its Marvel what do you expect?! Versus games have always been like this, ublockables and the such are nothing new.

  • @TWebb4 god forbid they tried to make all of the characters powerful in a video game called marvel versus capcom.

I mean, look at how many characters can do stuff like this. not very unbalanced at all. just powerful. If everyone is strong/good(like they say in the video) it would seem great to me.

  • @TWebb4 don't be stupid please. If everyone can do crazy/overpowered/"cheap" shit, then that IS a balanced game.

  • Ah, I love these vids.

  • the dead pixel! FUCK YEAH! :p

  • 2:59 YO MARKMAN

  • whats the music used?

  • @0HDrift I don't know about the rest, but the music in the beginning is Beyond Monday by The Glitch Mob

  • Tournament on those setups? Must hurt like hell to crane your neck the whole time.

  • loved it

  • Fighting game mentality in EVERY genre. Gold strategies Mike.

  • I hate how all the pros get to play the game before anyone else. Don't get me wrong, they're obviously really good players, but I think if they didn't get to play before everyone else there would be a lot more people on their level.

  • @mybrawling

they use the pros to find out what needs tuning, and what the general consensus is. what better people to ask than the players who know what makes a good fighting game and are going to dedicate pretty much just as much time with the game as the devs themselves?

  • @HiTEqMETHOD But what my point is: I probably spend as much time as the pros trying to learn about the game, and I feel that I have good opinions on how the game can be balanced, fixed, etc. But do I get to play the game early? Nope.

  • @mybrawling These "pros" traveled from LA, and in Keit's case from the Midwest, all the way to Vegas to play this game. Capcom has given many people from around the country a chance to play the game from their fight club events in Chicago, Atlanta, LA, as well as conventions like SDCC and NYCC. If you can't travel to an event to try out this game before it is released in only a few weeks from now, than tough luck.

  • @lilaznkid265 Being a little aggressive here, aren't we?

  • @mybrawling

I was actually about to say exactly what lilaznkid posted but he beat me to it, obviously like he said capcom had various builds at numerous conventions and demos (demo as in live demonstrations of the game not a download demo or something) so if you think you really have something important to say about the game you should of went to one of them, assuming you're not some kid who doesn't have a job and can't afford to travel.

  • @HiTEqMETHOD I'm sorry for being unclear. What I'm trying to get across here is that I think it just gives people who can cash in the money (just because I can't afford to travel across the country doesn't mean I'm a kid/don't have a job) to attend a, what, 3-4 hour event?

  • @mybrawling

there wasn't just one event, Capcom basically had one for every major region of the US so you wouldn't have to go far for a chance to play. it seems like you're making this harder than it really was. sure gootecks and mike ross went from cali to nevada (which isn't that far) and keits traveled across half the country but they were attending CES. Fight clubs would have been a few hours drive away, if you checked any of the locations.

  • @HiTEqMETHOD So there was an event somewhere in the bottom half of Florida? As far as I know Florida (at least the south region) has never had anything big to come.

  • @mybrawling

there was one in atlanta (I'm in miramar, if you're from south florida you should know where that is). the drive to georgia from s.fl is like 6 hours, very doable. if you can't make an effort to drive to a state that borders your own then you shouldn't be talking about not having a chance to play the game.

  • @HiTEqMETHOD It's about 8-12 hours for me, actually. I don't exactly have the time to spend eight hours to go somewhere. I did not know that there was one in Atlanta, though. Did you go, though?

You were right then, I'm sorry for arguing this in the first place.

  • @mybrawling

No I knew about it but wasn't hyped about the game enough to be bothered. I've driven to Georgia, Tennessee, Orlando at least 12x, Jacksonville, and New York so the drive to ATL would've been easy which means I'm more guilty than you are of having a chance to play the game and passing it up. No worries though.

  • can't wait to set people up with the Salty Set Up

  • crosscounter shows the real fun you have with fighting games thats the great thing about this channel!!!

  • good shit

  • Mike Ross, Ninja Gaiden, let's go!
