  • What kind of implant system did you use? I like the temp abutment technique.

  • this makes me scared to go to the dentist!!! D:

  • Price is probably different in every city but I paid about $5,000 for my tooth. That was for half a root canal, the implant process and the new tooth. If I hadn't had the root canal to try to save the tooth initially, then I would have saved $500. It was worth it. I had great dentists and it's working perfectly. I don't even notice it. Go to a dentist who is very skilled and has done many of these. Do not go to a cut-rate dentist. The implant only took about 2 hours. Good luck!

  • I got my implant and it worked out great. I would highly recommend it. It's not cheap, though.

  • @suzieq379 How long was the procedure and how much for one tooth?

  • ow.

  • this is so nasty im going to brush my teeth7 times a day

  • That's what they did when the pulled out my tooth when I was six! AH!! EW.

  • Excuse me while I go brush my teeth three times.Oh tell me when five minutes pass, I'm doin' it again.

  • awwwwwwwww....

  • i just want to ask why u didnt try intentional reimplantation an retrograd filling thanks

  • @kokyameen The tooth was irreparably fractured. There is very minimal predictability to that procedure especially in a multirooted tooth.

  • I am getting an implant in a week. This is amazing stuff. A little hard to watch. I am sure I will have some tears when they take my tooth out. Hope I do okay and I have no problems afterwards. A little scared.

  • Good Luck to you! Implants are such a great way of replacing teeth.

  • @suzieq379 did you get it yet? did it hurt?

  • omg ! i can see really everything like pimples or puss or sth like that. but damn i hate teeth!!!! :O

  • So now you for sure want to become a dental surgeon?

  • sure ;D

  • just had mine pulled at lower right next to wisdom, how long should i expect post extraction pain??

  • You should ask your dentist.

  • Excelente tratamiento. Dr. cómo actúa el forceps.

  • see internet for "physics forceps"

  • Poor guy is so drugged up. If the implant was not a good choice it is there now.

  • Our patient "elected" to be sedated as well as "chose" the implant option. If your tooth was failing why wouldn't you want a new one if you had that choice?

  • Shhiiiittt!!!!!

    selfown :D

    Clean ya Toth`s ;D

  • if some day i need a new tooth i will tell them just to kill me. if someone needs me im brushing my teeth.

  • If you change your mind we can help you!

  • lol

  • 1.37 - WHAT A KILLER

  • I guess kimipao didn't see that the tooth was fractured COMPLETELY through the middle to the bone. In this case the best tooth is a new one. It does cost money to transition to this type of restoration but it is really insulting and inappropriate to make such judgements on such an ignorant and obviously jaded basis. If kimipao is a doctor he/she did not really watch the video carefully. If he/she is not a doctor, please don't try to play one.

  • He is not a good doctor. He just wants to make money from implant. The best tooth is the one that you already have. The tooth looks ok from outside, it might require root canal, but not too serious to do the implant. Implant takes for a long time to heal and sometimes some people just cannot heal properly. He might be a good doctor, but I still think that this tooth is not that serious to do implant unless the patient required it.

  • ouch...

  • Very nice job from... a UCSF alum. Which implant system are you using?

  • I teach an informal microsurgery class to the perio grads. That implant is zimmer TSV but I am transitioning to Implant Direct Legacy, same on the inside, slightly different on the outside (better) and cost is much better. Check out their site.

  • wow fantastic

  • great job doc

did you use flowable composite(tetric) to line the temp?

  • Yes that is flowable composite.

  • Good video. are you use human donor bone with frequency? how is the lagislation in your country? are you sure that this bone is free of unknow disease?

  • I have used human donor freeze dried bone in various itterations for 20 years. In the US and probably elsewhere there is no antigenicity and no infection potential.

  • a real horror movie !!!

  • Hey, we kept the gory parts out...

  • Ouch what does that feel like in the morning

  • We premed patients with Anaprox, naproxen sodium 550mg an hour before and keep them on it for 24hrs. Vicodin is dispensed x3 and patients end up taking maybe one. Discomfort is typical minimal to none doing this (preempting pain) and with microsurgical treatment.

  • very painfull i got my tooth pulled today and my gum is killing me

  • Bravo, Doctor, well done. This is the first time I've seen the physics forceps in use, and I beilieve its time to add them to my armamentarium. Again, job well done.

  • Thanks for the kind words! Watch the other video and if you have a discerning touch you will love the Physics Forceps.

  • wow, thats just disgusting!

  • God DAMNIT i hate the dentist. DID YOU SEE WHAT THEY DID TO HIS MOUTH

  • I know. Take good care of your teeth and you wouldn't have to worry so much about having that happen.

  • Gona Throw uppp Gona throw up........

  • i still don't see how that "physics forcep" not breaking off the buccal plate.

  • Wow! That was impressive. I wonder where the bone graph material comes from, is it synthetic bone that is used?

  • The bone graft is a combination of a gel and powder mixed with tetracycline. Both gel and powder are human donor freeze dried bone.

  • and this can all be avoided by brushing your teeth?

  • never fracture the buccal bone when performing implants!!!!

  • Never say never... That is why I only loosen the tooth with the physics forceps and then take the tooth out conventionally. In this case the buccal bone remained in tact. And, using the method I have not had the plate break.

  • Wow. Really cool to see this!
