Muse are pretty shit at the best of times but why the fuck did they choose to cover this song? They've simply destroyed its strength, the sad bastards.

Muse certainly aren't up their own asses, so don't have a clue where you got that from. An too top this, Muse are much, much more talented than the smiths. There, I said it. Better guitarist/singer, bassist, and drummer. Aswell as song writers. The Smiths are good, sure, but Muse are giants among men.

I never thought it was possible for a band to be even more melodramatic and over-wrought than Morrissey himself. This is so-so. It's really lacking the tenderness and vulnerability that made the original so compelling.

I thought the covers of the likes of Feeling Good and the others were really good until i heard this. I've listened to this version a lot of times and then to the original and theres only the slight difference. Very similar. Great effort by Matt and Muse. :)
