Although, with the original animated Trek, it was running at the same time as the original series (animated series: 1973 - 74; TOS: 1966 - 69). Would the Farragut animated series be considered part of true Star Trek cannon? (Because Roddenberry didn't think that of the original). It is a cool idea, though and yes, Groovy!
Was this series made? I thought that the animated Star Trek from the 1970's had better writing than the origianl show.
