  • I saw Fowler do nothing but shitty BJJ style Gi takedowns.

  • but i think you can't use double leg takedown in judo?

  • You can.

  • i bet fowler was pissed off.

  • bbj lban db? bjj rules db? hndi nmn judo yung event, panu nging unfair? ah unfair kc blackbelt c fowler d2?

  • if you could just feel the pain of ude gatame...

  • sino ba nag organize nito, masyadong unfair to kay mike fowler, hindi naman judo player c mike tsaka ang rules stupid itatayo after five minutes , e kung hindi tinayo yung unang takedown cguradong submission ang mangyayari dun, stupid ang nag organize yan

  • im sure mike fowler was well aware of the rules since it was a judo match. and i believe the match was just done for fun, nothing really serious.

mike was taking the other guy too lightly i believe that's why he caught mike off guard with that arm lock. ( which by the way looked terrible, but the arm was already extended so)

but all in all it was only for fun. an exhibition match.

i've seen the other guy compete in BJJ. there's no way he would beat mike.

  • John Baylon is not a pushover man..He is the King of Southeast Asia in the -81kgs category..He was an olympian. I wouldn't take that lightly, but i don't know about you..

  • yes he is an olympian and i bet he is a hell of a competitor in JUDO.

i'm just saying maybe things would be different in a jiu jitsu match.

even though i know the art of jiu jitsu was based on 20th century kodokan judo.

BJJ is a whole different world from the judo

  • @Donpaeng John Baylon is a BJJ blackbelt too...

  • not saying he isn't. i just think maybe things would be different in bjj rules when you are allowed to pull guard and aren't stood back up.

no disrespect intended that's just my point of view.

  • @Donpaeng He would still win.. Like how Flavio Canto owns Saulo Ribeiro..

  • sorry but i disagree.

jiujitsu is a whole different world from judo.

unless it was a jiujitsu match and baylon won.

than i would probably agree with you, but it's not.

flavio canto does not own saulo ribeiro. both superior at two similar arts but two very different worlds.

and i think it is quite disrespectful to state it as such. i know they train with each other. but their expertise are different.

a BJJ and a judo champion.

but i will tell you this. baylon owns fowler in JUDO.

  • @Donpaeng Have you seen Flavio and Saulo train together?? I know you haven't because you wouldn't be saying this if you have. Or more so have you trained with both guys?

Baylon is a good Judo player but he is no where near and has never been a top world player in Judo. Fowler is a top tier Jiu-jitsu player. Remember Baylon won with a submission not a throw so there goes your two worlds are different theory.

  • apparently not, not everybody get's a chance to TRAIN with them. i know them only by credentials.

baylon is an olympian in JUDO, probably not THE best in the WORLD. but he definitely is arguably the ONE of the BEST. and he's got credentials too back that up.

and REMEMBER they were stood up after the 1st take down. had it been BJJ rules fowler would have obviously pulled guard.

so yes THEY are DIFFERENT worlds which is a metaphor for a different game w/ different rules.

  • @Donpaeng i have seen baylon train jujitsu :) at our gym (fabricio) :) i was at the same matts as him but i did not dare to spar with him i'm a no gi guy and = to a wbelt he was a i think brown belt in jujitsu

  • I agree with your comment!

Looked like Mike was trying to challenge him on the takedowns and not in the ground game and that's why he got caught.

  • TANGA KA PALA EH!

  • was this a judo match?

    or a bjj?

why did they stand up during the 1st take down.

  • its a judo match

  • no wonder, coz i saw his opponent in bjj competition.

i don't think he would have beaten mike fowler in bjj.

  • thats actually an ude gatame. ouch!

  • The thunder rolling and rain pouring really sets a dramatic mood!

  • hayop! lupet! props to jonh! Sali ka sa adcc hehehe

  • WOW!!!! that was a quick armbar

  • Wow, just wow... Where can I train with this guy?

  • mike lost by armbar was it?!?!

  • COACH JOHN BAYLON UR THE MAN!

  • bro.. galing ni sir john...
