Where I live in California you could work TWO full time jobs at minimum wage and still couldn't afford a studio apartment, food, utilities, insurance, basics... Even if you lived without a car and worked TWO full time jobs you would not make a living. I don't think the Minimum wage should be high, but a basic "Living Wage" could be calculated by region. To all those that say that the minimum wage will decrease jobs they are wrong in 1968 the purchasing power of the minimum wage was $9.50 an hour unemployement was at was one of the lowest in history at 3.5%. We need the minimum at $10 an hour to increase purchasing power.
My second job deals with the min wage and tips. On adverage I get $15 an hour from that second job. Why, Why can't you do that. What makes me differant from you? I struggle just like you. The government will tax you more with a increase. They have already raided the Social Sercurity trust fund and need more money, so lets raise the wage and get more tax money.

I work two jobs, TWO and I may go to a third.

I worked 50 hours a week in a job I hated while I developed an online store which took up another 30 hours a week.
my hard work paid off and I now run 3 online stores full time and quit my dayjob,
nobody handed me a break or gave me a damn thing, I had to create my own breaks
