I have just watched Strictly Come Dancing on the TV where professional dancers and their partners have had dance tuition from an expert rock n roll teacher. IT WAS A COMPLETE LOAD OF CRAP! The dresses they wore were much too short, and a lot of the time each of the couples were dancing separately.

Yes - very good. Enjoyed watching your couple jive. I am 69 years old and first heard 1950s Rock'n'Roll in 1954/5 with Bill Haley. Went to jive classes at the Victor Silvester Dance Studio in 1958 but could not jive to their lessons so decided to jive my own way, which is what I have always done! As long as you never lose the beat, that's all that matters. Good on you! Neil Foster

Swing is more 1940s so there dancing has kicks in it and they shake their hands alot,also footwork is very different.Its like LeRoc some moves the same but different footwork and they dance to different beat to the music.

its just British rock`n`roll there's no wrong way or right way you just go with the music you just get your own style of dancing swing as more side steps and foot work the jitterbug is more fast the jive is all these rolled into one if you don't jive or bop you will not understand you have got to feel the music and just go with the beat you can know all the hand moves and all the lifts but if you ain't got style you might as well just watch

that was nice of the staff at the greek restaurant to clear the tables away to give you room, i have watched this clip 5,883 times and i have got the hang of it now, i have loads of arrows marked out on my floor, just need a partner now...as allways its great watching you both jive...even though i am missing match of the day...its such a great buzz to be able to dance like this instead of sitting there wishing, so close to 10 out of 10 but georges t shirt was not tucked in right..superb..delvis
