  • In Fiji we call it Lolo Bani or coconut cream buns. It is made exactly the same way as the samoans, lol

  • @714Breeezy The dough is pre made. It is Rhodes brand frozen dough which you can find it, in the freezer section of your grocer.

  • @ feesili i too am use to the scrolled pani popo's and also used to the dough being made from scratch. Never the less, this may work for many people as well.

    sole se ga'o , like the lady said, go to the store and buy the dough pre-made , but real cream with pegu strained from the tauaga is what makes it taste better not the cocnut cream in the can

  • i have NEVER seen Pagi Popo made like this lol..... our Pagi Popo are scrolls..... well thats how i was taught by my grandmother to make them anyways.... and MORE Coconut Cream is required

  • @Feesili yeah... same i was taught to make them in scrolls + making dough from scatch ! but i guess this is the easier way for the beginners or people who want to try our food.

  • canned coconut milk sucks.. if ur gonna make panipopo... or anything with coconut milk you gotta get it straight out if the nut.. its not the same

  • @breadnbuttah its kinda hard to find real coconuts in VA so using can coconut milk is the next best thing to it.....

  • I tried this receipe, and you know it's pretty good for a fast simple pagi popo receipe, but of course it's not the same as the homemade pagi popo! It's all guud! :)

  • Oh btw when we was in SoCal in 2003 , We bought some Pani Popo from the Samoan Grocery Store on Alantic Ave or LB BLvd in Long Beach xxxx

  • The best Pani Popo are my mums , at the Marketi Fou in Apia , Western Samoa and Otara Markets in Otara , Saute Aukilani , NZ.
