Oh god the fanboys on this page..... The corvette has been the all around better car for awhile. The viper is quick as hell but it goes from understeer to oversteer. The corvette handles much better due to its almost ideal weight distribution.
For 15k difference dodge will have to do better for me. Dodge should wake up and just put a comparable price on the viper unless they want to compete with the ZR1 which we all know ain't happening. If the Viper was maybe within 5k it would be a tough decision but I ended up settling for the Z06 mainly because of the horsepower per dollar ratio and I love my vette.

A ZR1 is a regular street car. You can take it out on the street and still have a passenger. Oh btw, a ZR1's top speed is 210mph. Your acr is a paltry 184mph. Like I said nobody cares about your mopar. Vettes have been a legend since '53. Only thing I have more respect for is the ford gt40 and the ac cobra.

The vett won haha good it should be, the Viper looses 5th gear pull, the vett still has it, perfect power to weight ratio, and it looks good. the viper is all motor its more powerfull but, if you cant ge tthat power to the wheels theres nothing you can do about it. sorry viper fans but thoes are the facts and you know it.

Oh god the fanboys on this page..... The corvette has been the all around better car for awhile. The viper is quick as hell but it goes from understeer to oversteer. The corvette handles much better due to its almost ideal weight distribution.

For 15k difference dodge will have to do better for me. Dodge should wake up and just put a comparable price on the viper unless they want to compete with the ZR1 which we all know ain't happening. If the Viper was maybe within 5k it would be a tough decision but I ended up settling for the Z06 mainly because of the horsepower per dollar ratio and I love my vette.

id agree that today the corvette is better. chevy has definetly made strides in making the corvette better than the viper. but back lets say 10 years they were almost completely equal. the vette was less heavy but the viper had more power and torque. also the viperhad a wider powerband. but in 2011 there is little comparison. i hate to say this as a viper fan but corvette-viper.

@kungfuninja55 its funny you say that but last time i checked the z06 didnt post a stock world record of 10.8 at 129 in the 1/4 or set the nurgring lap time without Traction Control or make the fastest production V10 in history.
the viper is better but i love the z06, the z06 hasnt done nearly as much as the viper. vipers do 0-150 in less than 14 seconds

Your argument is stupid. An acr x is a racecar, I know what it is. The thing is stripped down where you get a steering wheel and a seat. You get 640hp compared with a regular acr's 600. A ZR1 is a regular street car. You can take it out on the street and still have a passenger. Oh btw, a ZR1's top speed is 210mph. Your acr is a paltry 184mph. Like I said nobody cares about your mopar. Vettes have been a legend since '53. Only thing I have more respect for is the ford gt40 and the ac cobra.

@SPMNDK89 well Zr1s dont do 210 its a claimed 205. and its more like 200 due to drag , and the ACR is drag limited by aerodynamic tune. the SRT10 will do 200, that engine can easily run 230 lmao. and as far as the future viper it will have over 700+horses in 2012

I'd take a wrecked Viper over a new Corvette any day. The Viper is better looking, faster, has a naturally aspirated V10, whereas the Vette has a supercharged V8. Superchargers are just cheaters tools. Vettes are everywhere. Vipers are for people with balls. It's the essence of American sports cars. It's a real sports car; the Vette is nothing but a balding white guy's mid-life crisis.

Give me one good reason why the viper is the real american sports car but the Corvette has always been a sports car since it was made. Corvette>Viper any day.
