This is the only show to ever succesfully take an "Unrequited Love" storyline and turn into a "Happily Ever After" storyline and that has to do soley with the talent here. David Pearce and Jane Leeves are completely believable as a couple, especially in the later Seasons.. if you watched seasons 10&11 (My two favorite Frasier Seasons) and nothing else you would have just assumed that they had always been a married couple on that show, they are that believable. And quite funny too.

but i don't like how Frasier got all melodramatic compared to its better seasons. IMO, Frasier was a better show when Daphne didn't know. but it's still was consistently an excellent show in the later seasons :)

Agreed, but you can only go about the same "winning formula" before people got sick of it. If they didn't let the show evolve in the melodramatic way, then, well, Frasier would be about four seasons or so shorter.
