I like the idea but I already have some that are on like a spool, it's in the middle of the headphone cord. Once the headphones are completely extended it clicks locking them where they are, once done using them you pull both ends opposite directions, the spool pops and the headphones automatically roll up... Sorry if it's unclear but really, I do like the idea
@angie4779 If I had to learn every single fact because of what people tell me, I would never be able to. Try to be more understandable and less sadistic to ones mind when thinking of a comment.
Smart&Safe headphone conduct the sound from cell phone conversations and music through a hollow tube filled with air, without metal wires. This is scientifically proven to reduce the electromagnetic radiation reaching the user’s sensitive ear and brain area by up to 98%. These headphones are ultra stylish and are available at expressbuy123

They will still tangle on the bottom, but this is still a great idea. The beats headphones made the wires much larger on the sides and flat and said they are tangle free, which it isn't, but it does not nearly get tangled up as much as ipod headphones do.
@TehSteak yeah people still don't know the difference in the future, you just figures that out, damn you must be retarded, go crawl back in your mama's ass
um how the hell did you do that? its like you just pretended it was a ziplock bag and the cords magically came together. whatever you invented to to it and your idea to improve the design were ingenious.
its been a year since this video please tell me you have pattented this and made tons of money its an amazing idea simple but amazing i love it cause its like a ziplock bag i would buy one for sure
great idea, but everything will be wireless by the time your patent is done. ha unless someone has stolen the idea cause you put it on u tube! and magnets would work better except for the fact that if they are strong enough to hold together, they might mess with the mp3 player or i pod.
it wouldn't work. if one wire flipped over, the would stick together because of the positive and negativeness of the magnets. . that would actually probably work better if they did stick together though..
They rarely make ear or headphones like that, They used to be so popular in the early 2000 then its like they didn't care about it any more if we tangle ear or headphones more, the more we will be forced to buy
i took this idea, submitted a patent, and it was approved by US patent
i now own this and can sue the original guy who created the invention for all he has, if he ever feels like selling them " it actually costs a lot of money to patent something...
If you're an Audiophile I need your help. I want headphones ranging from $100-250. I want them to be earphones or over earphones. I listen to every single genre. Also I would like it if I wouldn't need an amplifier. Thanks.
my mate had a pair and didnt think the sound quaility was as good as his bose he already had so he sent them back, they do look awesome though and the fat tangle free wires are great but headphones are for quality so i guess when it comes down to it they might be a bit style over substance. i personlly thought they sounded great but i only have a pair of crappy sony ones all the good sound it at home. where it matters.
thye have tangle proof headphones that are made of like a more cloth coated wire instead of like plastic coted and they just like are sligty more rigid and not grippy like towards eachother is wierd how they work but they do
Before we present your idea of tangle proof headphones, let me present to you my idea of a voice that can actually speak above ridiculously quiet. Brilliant, isn't it?

I would like to get a spool of that wire for other things, like RCA cables, I have a twinlead 1/8" plug with a pair of RCAs on the other end, and it's always getting knotted up...if you patent this kind of wire or cover, do it soon, as a musician I would go nuts with this stuff!!! I actually Hate the Apple ear buds they suck sound crappy hardley fit into anybodys ears, thats why I have 6 new pairs never used Ear Buds are way better or just wireless earphones, plan "B" plug it into the car jack and Crank it ! Great idea none the less !
Er... the rubberized Apple headphones (sound quality aside) already have this feature built in. There's a gray rubber "zipper" where the wires join together, and you slide it up to the buds when you're not using them. It's not quite his ziploc solution but it does exactly the same thing pretty effectively. It's a good idea but not a new one.
Yes they have that feature, but as he explains in the video, the zipper only connects them at the top near the buds, which in effect creates a loop which is probably more tangle prone than two loose wires.
I like this. Tho the stock ipod Shuffle head phones have a plastic slider, to keep the wires in line. They have this for the shuffle because there is no microphone. It should come standard nontheless
If you don't have a patent you won't get credit for the headphone idea. Apple can take your idea without giving you credit and so can I. By posting it on the internet without a patent everyone now owns the rights to your idea.
Brilliant application, but the company that developed the seal used on Ziploc bags may have something to say regarding patent protection. Looks like the joining method here is similar to that one. If not though, best of luck to you! I fight tangled wires every day at the gym.
very interesting, i have a question though, if i wanted would i be able to wrap the ipod headphone around my ipod?
how is the durability? if the headphones are really old (w/ your product), would your addition weaken the end where the normal ipod headphones meets your invention? for example; when you plug in dj head phones enough the cord will start to wear down, where the jack meets the head phone wires, and you will see the wires ruing good head phones. i'm asking this b/c i'm poor.
