You can find spoken word poetry accompanied by music in a number of different cultures. It's just something people do.

But this? This I would compare to that brown and black splotch on the gallery wall that someone, somewhere said was art and placed it haughtily next to an exquisitely detailed portrait of an old man, slumped over a grave stone that reads simply: SOULMATE.
