I lost my dad to leukemia in 1999. i can never understand how people get so lucky to have two loving parents who care about them and stay together and they disrespect them and hate them. I wish my dad were still around. He was the best dad i could have ever ask for and i love him with all my heart and i always will no matter what.

well my dad died when i was 9 years old from bone cancer and when he was alive we could only visit him on the weekends, holidays, summer breaks, ETC. and when he wasnt with us i learned after he passed that he wud listen to this song and cry cuz he missed us so bad... he was the best dad in the world! god i miss him so much! :(

I don't know if this is wrong but this song makes me cry but it makes me think of my step dad that has always been there for me and pays for shelter over my head and food on the table at night and the warmth on those cold winter days. And the old times when i use to give him butterfly kisses before i went to bed and thinking of that day when i walk down the aisle with him still there. This song makes me thing and i am only 14.

when the song gets to the wedding part every time it makes me cry cause i know i wont have my dad to walk me down the aisle for my wedding he isnt part of my life and hasnt been since i was little. i wish he could walk me down the aisle. being raised without a dad sucks. but i am lucky to have a grandpa like i do and cousin. they both are who i look up to as a dad. i love both of you.

I'm one of those lucky ones with both parents who try to care as much as they can for their kids. 28 years married and going strong. I'll never admit how much I appreciate to be lucky like that. My gf never knew her dad...he walked out on her and her mom when she was a baby...I've seen the shit side of it. So I have an idea how hard it is. All I can say is if you've grown up right without him. You're infact very strong willed. She is. I love her for who she is...even without him there. <3
