Carnage12345.. it all depends where you are coming from. What point of view you have. I have made this as an noob who didnt really know how to work it at the time, I am learning all the time, It sounded good at the time, and I still think it gives a good effect. the aim of all film today is to create a feeling, an emotion, an idea. I have done so using this cinmatic footage and some sad sounding music. Theres no black and white, if you dont like it, make something yourself that you do
yes I am a fan of mount and blade as well as a matter of fact :D
um, for move individualistic combat, like in between person to peron on the battlefield, mount and blade is better coz you are only controling your charicter, but for massive battles where you want to control the entire army, Medieval 2 Total War is probably the best game out to date that does that. You basically control each unit, and in a unit is like 30-120 men.
Good, not accurate in the slightest. They had Schiltrons and inbetween those, Archers along with Cavalry that then retreated before contact with the enemy. There were no Highlander units and they didn't charge. They stood in a defensive position which caused them to be massacred by the Longbows.
@TheCiahast wrong, they stayed in formation and engaged english infantry after several unsuccessful cavalry charges and we (the scots) had the better of the fighting until the english archers moved into position and shot the formations to peices and then the cavalry and infantry moved in through the gaps and broke the formations
@craigham93 Wrong? Nothing I said was incorrect. Yes they engaged infantry and got the better of them but then they were locked in a static defensive position.
Because they couldn't move the deciding attack was when the archers began firing upon them.
How is that different from what you've said? You've just added extra information.
thanks, and xylaphonemaster, if you want more info on camera angles and how to make them and how they all work, try the vids on youtube called "Medieval 2 Total War Cinmatic Editor" that should bring up some good tutorials that ppl have done on it. Dneed is a person who is good at it and he has posted vids up about it all
I used the Cinmatic Editor package that comes with the Kingdom's expansion, it alows you to go back into your replays and make camera pan angles and everything cool!!! you also have to record the sound independantly from the rendering of the camera shots, and then I usually put the two together in Windows Movie Maker
Miserable, rainy, freezing Scotland.

@Mantock100 i dont get it. did the come result in this like as part of the story mode or did you customize? how come your not playing?
and is this game and its expansion better than mount and blade and its expansion, assuming you would know...?

Well done, I love this game a lot, most realistic game we have today as far as numbers and strategy actually work.
I was very moved by the part of archers turning the battle. Very cool
