I really love all that signature stuff, but seriously? I don't wanna buy any signature stuff, only for fun. It would never be a serious guitar because it's expensive and then it's not your own. It's never gonna be your own when it's a signature. I think people should be their own guitarists not pretenders. Even though buying a signature doesn't necessarily make you a pretender, you surely will be more your own with a non-signature one.

i really don't get it..why put a pickguard just on the Epiphone model? why not make the guitar without it? the gibson model doesn't have it and in my opinion its a lot better!

yeah its really easy and actually looks alot better bacause in my opinion when they were designing the guitar they made it great then went oh shit we forgot the pickgaurd so just took a bit of plastic out of a bin and screwed it on

In my opinion, this guitar didnt amazed me.

I played it at Guitar Center, and its a little hard to play, the color is not the gold that you expect, and when u play it the sound is like weak.

I love my Les Paul Custom over this, and also the standard is better sounding that this guitar.

no it's not! i think that pickups are different on that model and the neck is not thinner. and in basics Slash guitar is much more of a value if u wanna sell it later ;)

well ive played just bout evry slash signature guitars at gc and by far his gibson goldtop kick ass. the epiphone version is kinda shitty. ud b better off with the ZW les paul. lots of sustain (Only thing that can b compard 2 a gibson plus p-ups) then p-ups r da only thing good beside the neck profile and the finish. gibson-round 3500-3800. Guitars i own. 74 G LP, 57 G Goldtop LP, Steve Vai I Jem, Zakk Wylde LPCustom with emg 81 & 85 with spare gibson headstock put on! (Found it!!! Lucky)

The '56 goldtop comes with p90 "soapbar" pickups which sounds great.

it ruins the style, thats what they think. on the strat it looks perfectly normal and goes with it. on a les paul, it doesnt go with it. so its mostly for looks.

i went to guitar center saterday to get the epiphone les paul standard, and then i saw this guitar i asked them to get it down so i could play it. as soon as i started playing i fell in love, and for the people that are wondering is it as good as a gibson i would say yes because it was hand crafted with the same wood different color though. but i cant tell you how good it sounds you will have to go to a guitar store and play it for yourself

I am a all time guns n roses fan but i tries this guitar out at guitarcenter hoping it would be amazing. I was badly disappointed when i played it first of all it was really hard to play and not as great sustain as the les paul standard epiphone. Not only this but it is one grand. One grand for a korean made epiphone is such a rip off. With that money u could buy a gibson sg specail or spend fifty bucks more and get a gibson les paul studio. i got the china hand crafted one and it has alot of sustain. before i bought this guitar i actualy compair it to the standard. me and my friend played the 15 fret on the high e string at the same time and the gold top went almost twice as long, so maybe the korean made one is not hand crafted.

I find this guitar looks cheap id you compare it to the Gibson. I hate the fact that they put that damn ugly pick guard on.

Epiphone guitars are actully really good,i have epiphone elite sunburst and the tone and sound are amazing. The feel of it was amazing felt like a true les paul had the same type of wood as a gibson, same humbuckers and grover tuners I also have a gibson Premium Plus with is also a damn good guitar. Its the real deal ILOVETHISGUITAR but it cost me over 3000 But its a gibson.

-Overall an Epiphone either makes crap guitars or great guitars gibson=just great Iam going for the epiphone slash gold
