I am a big fan of Allen (Carvetop) and saw your comment on his channel so I thought I would check yours out. Very relaxing. I have a friend who just bought a Taylor classical model. They do indeed sound soothing and sweet. Nice job......Pamela
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Ant said somewhere on his website that it's very unlikely that he'll ever publish more sheet music after the book of 6 or 7 pieces he did 20 years ago. Not sure why. I would love to see more of his stuff in publication.
you're probably trying to watch it from some place other than youtube? otherwise, i'm not sure why that's happening. I can watch it from multiple computers
Just like the record only he adds a little bit of reverb in it. I'm not a big fan of reverberation myself anyway so the result it's perfect for me. More Ant!
thanks. I do like the recorded sound on Field Day though. I don't think the reverb is overdone (as it is frequently on a certain Mr. Hackett's classical guitar recordings...)
Yes, definitely will do more Ant. Will probably learn "Oubliette" from watching your version and listening to the track.
Sure, it's a subtle and balanced use of reverb on Phillips' recording and I like it a lot. I was particularly thinking of that outrageous overuse you mention on "Bay of Kings" and "Momentum" by Hackett. Just the amount needed to spoil some beautiful pieces, why oh why...
Well it's a pretty recent album so don't know if it's made it on to a film soundtrack yet. I wouldn't be surprised though since I'm pretty sure that Ant's music has appeared in film and television over there in old Blighty quite a bit.
This is a great song from a beautiful album; I think Anthony Phillips was definitely inspired by some of Steve Hackett's spanish guitar work in the 80's-90's. Job well done.

How wonderful, Tony! This theme in harmonical motion is very delicate and beautiful. And your touch is especially sensitive in this piece.
We have to play together someday!
Merry Christmas!

I appreciate the first comment on this in a year. 'old wives tale' is a different piece though. How is your comment 'mean'? Am i missing something?
Yes, Alex does a great job and i've been subscribed to his channel for a couple years so I don't miss new things he does.
