Here in Oahu we think it doesn't matter what board u ride. If u can truly surf(read and feel) the wave u can surf anything. There's people here surfing mcDonald lunch trays at Sandys hehe.
am 6.2' 205 lbs. and i just bought a fish. its 6.0' and 21" in width and 2.35 thick. is this good? or should i try to get something else? i went from a 6.8" to this havent used the fish yet. what do you think?
I'm the same weight as you and generally ride 2.75 thick boards for the float. the width is ok but I wouldn't go lower than a 6'4 at 21" wide.You can generally lower the length by 1" if you widen the board by 1/2".
Japanese surfers always have the sickest fins though.

seems a little thin...like length and width are good but the thickness is kinda thin...2.35? get like 2 5/8 or thicker
