question: this ws on ytv but where was it first? i mean ytv picked up alot of things from all over canada and there was a show before this about drawing and puppets. did it come from a host station?

Awesome! I was a teen when I watched this stuff... I knew it was for kids, but it was the only thing on in the mornings before school and I got hooked on it. Got my boyfriend hooked on it to.

...with no experience, and no education, just raw talent. But about those DVDs..I wish I could get a couple Take Parts, Fred Penner's Place, Under the Umbrella Tree, Circle Square, Reading Rainbow, Camp Cariboo, Putnams Prairie Emporium, it goes on.. for my kids. Thank you SO MUCH Lois for putting these up. It's incredible how much seeing your face is like seeing a long-long mother after many years...

I could almost cry watching all these videos. All of this is so ingrained in my psyche...I haven't seen anything from Take Part in almost 18 years, and it all just floods back when I see this..I wish I could get all my favorites on DVDs for my children. I would love if they turned out just like me, and considering how much I was raised on TV, everything I watched must have had a huge impact on my upbringing. All these art shows..and I was a cartoon animator for 5 years, got in the door...
