Just FYI, the Chaos Lord does significantly more damage against Daemon armor (IE, Avatar) than the Daemon Prince, so it'd be more fair if you let him have a few swings at least before his apotheosis.

@herogamez12 well, depends, the farseer is practically faster than the nightbringer(thank you fleet of foot), and then the farseer can just run around and wait for the nightbringer to turn back and then use mind war or just melee the necron lord, she will win. ive tried, XD (Farseer vs Necronlord = Farseer won with 3/5 hp)

In the real tabletop game, an Avatar would never defeat a Deamon Prince so easily. Relic is just too stupid to transmit the balancing of Warhammer 40.000 on Dawn of War....
Depends which version of Warhammer or Warhammer 40K you're talking about. They've changed the rules MANY times. At one point daemon princes were a lot weaker than Greater daemons. (In Warhammer). At another point (WH40K), daemon princes were all special characters and INSANELY powerful.
At the moment, from what I've heard, they'd pretty much generic and boring, if powerful.
Now honestly, the Avatar can whop a Bloodthirster by himself and you brought in a creature with about half his power? I think we all knew what was going to happen.
The Daemon Prince does half the damage a Chos Lord would do to Daemon High armor and Vehicle High, he is not meant to kill relic units. He does double the amount damage a Chaos Lord would do to everything else, he meant to fuck up infantry and vehicles. Plus his amazing speed for a unit of that size and power means he can easily escape from the bigger units.
You don't have to, but I personally made my own. It's white primarily with silver as the secondary, and black for trimming, a silver weapon, and a cyan color for the gems and the eyes.

My point is that they aren't believing in the Avatar all the way like the Imperium of Man and the Emperor. Yes, every army has an idol. Chaos to me are puppets, meaning they are super easy to control and they decide to go only for power which they rarely ever gain. Eldar do things on their own decisions, however they still have an idol, which is Khaine, but khaine doesn't lead them nor does he directly control them. Chaos are fully controlled. The laughing god is directed at the Harlequins.
So in the end, i'm afraid that you can say every army in WH40k is just a bunch of puppets lead to the cause of war.
T'au idolize their elders and their technology. So they're not clean either. Same with the Necrons being slaves without a choice.
I chose to play Chaos because its an army that's outright in its purpose rather than the Imperium which, in the 41st millenium, is just an abherrant of evil deeds trying to cover it up with the excuse of their 'almighty emperor'.

Oh wow. I just realized how pathetic the Demon prince was. 5000 health (around there... Probably higher? Can't really see...) and far lower damage. The Avatar doesn't even need to try.

Avatar is the Eldars primary "boss" so to say, it's the most powerful unit the Eldar have. The Deamon Prince in normal combat against every other boss will no doubt be beaten- it's spells such as Deamon Roar, are effective against infantry- and the Deamon Prince is the second boss the Choas have, almost like a Prism in Eldars way.
You get a Bloodthirster in there, and its a total new ball-game as it's an even battle as both are the epic bosses of the game, not just the battle:)
Ididn't like it how the daemon princes where really toned down in soulstorm...I mean, he gets shot up in less than 30 secs by any smart player.....
DP should have remained as powerful as it was in dc, it sorta balances the fact that chaos has the worst tank choice in the entire game, with only the most rudimentry choices.....1 basic transport.....1 basic tank......1 basic plane.....1 sorta good but low hp walker (especially when compared to dreads, kans or wraithlords)......

The Daemon Prince isn't even strong, so what are you people talking about "Rigged" battle? It would have been more interesting if it was Greater Daemon of Khorne and not Daemon Prince. The Greater Daemon of Khorne is more comparable to the Avatar then the Prince.
I'm fairly sure that an Avatar should be able to beat a Daemon price (not thinking in terms of game mechanics here, in fact I've never even played the game). An Avatar is a piece of an Eldar God. A daemon prince is just a Daemon who got made by one of the Chaos Gods. But still, in the long run Chaos would (of course) come out best.
According to the Lexicanum: Daemon Princes are former mortal Champions of Chaos who have been elevated to daemonhood by the Chaos Gods. They have bartered their humanity for unearthly power and immortality.
Just think about it for a second instead of googling yourself some quip. Is it really rational to assume the Gods of Chaos would only create champions out of humans? That makes no sense dude, why would they limit themselves?
I could say the same to you, 'bout your codex. There is already champions of Chaos, who are 100% daemon, for example, Skulltaker, also called U'Zuhl. He is a champion of Khorne, a Bloodletter. And because of his battle experience, and his age, he is much bigger and powerful than other Bloodletters (lesser daemons of Khorne), But he hasnt been granted Daemonhood. Daemonhood is for the mortal champions of Chaos.
If you havent played the game, and I am talking about the miniature figure game, then you prob shouldent state to much. Dow is based upon the miniature game universe created by games workshop. And the things that are stated in the codex for "Daemons of chaos" and "Chaos space marines" is fact. There is ALOT of background facts for each race. Before you have read the two codexes you simply have no knowledge/background knowledge about these things!!
The advantage the Avatar has over every other Relic unit is its huge damage, regenerative ability and 30k health. The only thing that balances it out in the game is its deployment time.
If you want to get technical The Avatar is the avatar of ONE of the eldars many many gods....on a side note the god of war (Khaine) is actually dead and if memory serves he was killed by Slanesh at some point in history.
Interesting point, Khaine is also the god of Dark Elves from fantasy and of the Dark Eldar (believe it or not).Its a common misconception thar DE love slanesh, infact they sacrifice slaves to stop slanesh from devouring there souls...cool eh?

Well, you are kind of right in my perspective. However, it's the persuasion and power that the chaos go for, and they are beckoned into believing it is the way. I never said the Imperium weren't puppets. They are too, actually. The only races I can properly say that aren't lead by someone/worship is the Eldar, Orks, and.... I guess that might be it. Tyranids are controlled by the HIve mind. Dark Eldar, I dunno, and you know what I mean.

My point is that they aren't believing in the Avatar all the way like the Imperium of Man and the Emperor. Yes, every army has an idol. Chaos to me are puppets, meaning they are super easy to control and they decide to go only for power which they rarely ever gain. Eldar do things on their own decisions, however they still have an idol, which is Khaine, but khaine doesn't lead them nor does he directly control them. Chaos are fully controlled. The laughing god is directed at the Harlequins.

Oh wow. I just realized how pathetic the Demon prince was. 5000 health (around there... Probably higher? Can't really see...) and far lower damage. The Avatar doesn't even need to try.
Oh, and for those who know Space Wolves, does anyone think they should be their own independant army like the space marines or no? I'm kind of thinking about that...

Avatar is the Eldars primary "boss" so to say, it's the most powerful unit the Eldar have. The Deamon Prince in normal combat against every other boss will no doubt be beaten- it's spells such as Deamon Roar, are effective against infantry- and the Deamon Prince is the second boss the Choas have, almost like a Prism in Eldars way.
You get a Bloodthirster in there, and its a total new ball-game as it's an even battle as both are the epic bosses of the game, not just the battle:)

The only Space Marines so far who are not puppets to the corrupt high lords or false doctrines of a 'God-Emperor' are the Rogue Marines.

Ididn't like it how the daemon princes where really toned down in soulstorm...I mean, he gets shot up in less than 30 secs by any smart player.....
DP should have remained as powerful as it was in dc, it sorta balances the fact that chaos has the worst tank choice in the entire game, with only the most rudimentry choices.....1 basic transport.....1 basic tank......1 basic plane.....1 sorta good but low hp walker (especially when compared to dreads, kans or wraithlords)......

I'm fairly sure that an Avatar should be able to beat a Daemon price (not thinking in terms of game mechanics here, in fact I've never even played the game). An Avatar is a piece of an Eldar God. A daemon prince is just a Daemon who got made by one of the Chaos Gods. But still, in the long run Chaos would (of course) come out best.

I could say the same to you, 'bout your codex. There is already champions of Chaos, who are 100% daemon, for example, Skulltaker, also called U'Zuhl. He is a champion of Khorne, a Bloodletter. And because of his battle experience, and his age, he is much bigger and powerful than other Bloodletters (lesser daemons of Khorne), But he hasnt been granted Daemonhood. Daemonhood is for the mortal champions of Chaos.

If you havent played the game, and I am talking about the miniature figure game, then you prob shouldent state to much. Dow is based upon the miniature game universe created by games workshop. And the things that are stated in the codex for "Daemons of chaos" and "Chaos space marines" is fact. There is ALOT of background facts for each race. Before you have read the two codexes you simply have no knowledge/background knowledge about these things!!

The advantage the Avatar has over every other Relic unit is its huge damage, regenerative ability and 30k health. The only thing that balances it out in the game is its deployment time.

If you want to get technical The Avatar is the avatar of ONE of the eldars many many gods....on a side note the god of war (Khaine) is actually dead and if memory serves he was killed by Slanesh at some point in history.
Interesting point, Khaine is also the god of Dark Elves from fantasy and of the Dark Eldar (believe it or not).Its a common misconception thar DE love slanesh, infact they sacrifice slaves to stop slanesh from devouring there souls...cool eh?
