Actually, the vet said if we haden't have cared for him, he would have died. he got infected and wouldn't stop licking it, so it just got bigger and bigger. He needed antibiotics and would've died. So, I don't think it was that stupid to have taken care of him. I feel sorry for your cat if you have one.
