Matt. 9:8 - this verse shows that God has given the authority to forgive sins to "men." Hence, those Protestants who acknowledge that the apostles had the authority to forgive sins (which this verse demonstrates) must prove that this gift ended with the apostles. Otherwise, the apostles' successors still possess this gift. Where in Scripture is the gift of authority to forgive sins taken away from the apostles or their successors?

James 5:16 - James clearly teaches us that we must confess our sins to one another, not just privately to God. This is a great ad and I bet it got people to go. Even if 1% of the 9,000 + people who viewed this went to Confession, that would still be 90 people who allowed God to heal them of Sin. Anyone who thinks that "modern evangelism" is stupid is ignorant. To think that just preaching from the pulpit will get people who aren't in the Church in the first place to come to Confession is rather silly. We have to reach them where they are at... THE INTERNET is key! Great job to whoever did this!

Stupid! Modern thinking! If the priests were in the confessions throughout the year as they should be and discussing the importance of this Sacrament throughout the year also, there would be no need for silly stuff as the above. People would automatically know about it from others.
