T-5 is going to be R-rated like the first. They could do a full circle thing in 5 or 6 and have it mess with your head like. For if it ended up that JD did not happen then there would not be a reason John to send Kyle back in time. However as a result John would not be born and the machines win. So in the end you would have 2 time lines one with John and one with out him overlaping for ever. Kind of thing. That would a real mind melt.
I was really dissapointed with salvation movie because I thought the makers will more focus on enslaving the human race, explain why the machines so much hate people and show us how john connor built the resistance forces...but ok... I agree they should focus on Time machine, massive panic because of t800 and development of T1000, and it could end in T6 showing the death of JC by T850 and how Kate infiltrates the main factory of T1000 and hacking and reprograming them all against the skynet....
also dont forget in t3 the terminator says i killed you in the future to john so in T6 yess i mean t6 not T5 but T6 should have him killed then his men the soilders in the residants get the t800 and then they think if he was good enough to kill john then hes good enough to go back in time then they prograam the t800 and get word the TX was made then T3 starts again and john children take his place and the end

I think that they should do it in the future, where John time traveled in TSCC. the T-1000 should help John defeat the terminators of that time and help humanity.

I agree! The only thing I have to say for the ending part is that they should end it with skynet creating T-1000 and john connor stealing it to bring it back to T-2/T-1. So that it could destroy the whole of skynet before it creates all the Terminators! It ends before Judgment day takes place because it never happens!! The End!!
I sort of stole this idea from another youtube video I just saw, but how about a switching role film. The resistance decide to use time travel to kill the creator of time travel (thinking it'll stop skynet's plans) but skynet sends a T-(whatever) unit to protect him. So the plot is skynet is the goodside for once and the resistance is technically evil for the purposes of the film.
We can't have a time loop anymore because they keep changing judgement day, from 1997 to 2003 to 2011. They ruined the continuity. I'd rather see a completely different film, no John Connor, no time travel. Instead they need to give a skynet or Terminator POV to explain why the machines hate humanity so much. That part of the story has never been explained so far.
I like the idea of creating the next movie in the further future showing events that led to the time travel into the first 2 movies.
I also think if there ever were another movie after it, or this even could be an idea for a new movie outside the terminator frachise, that it could show a link between the Terminator series and the Matrix series, as essentially the Matrix is the same war on machines but in the much further future.

I think ur ideas brilliant..................i actually thought McG would do a full circle type of movie like T5 will connect with T1, T6 will connect with T2 and if there is T7 it will connect with T3 and end it there. In T5 and T6 christian bale would stay in the present time he will not go in the future or the past.McG is spoiling wat his doin, i was a bit disapointe for T4.I wanted to see more humans versus the terminators but there was a few fights.

The plot is descent enough for me it could work but I do have a problem with the T-800 and john have a battle and the T-1000 side as well, it for some reason doesn't con jell with me. they took the back to the future reference in T3 its your kids marty its something to be done about the kids!!!! So 5 and 6 will be about them cuz I think they have 2 kids in the future and its them that after they have grown help stop the war.

in the original ending of t2 the judgement day never happens and there is no skynet in the future but i think that james cameron would have fucked up the time space thing because if skynet is destroyd in 1995 then kyle reese never gets sent back in time and then there is no john in that year and everything would be difrent

Marcus Wright is revived by the resistance( he is still a machine) so he helps John Connor get Kyle Reese get to a time machine that Skynet has build since they rebuilt the T-800s and plans on sending one back to 1984..i figure that would be a good plot,just to send Kyle back in time..but your plot is better,like put T1 and T2 together...but if you put Marcus into your plot it would be great
my plot,two new hightec terminators are sent back to just befor the human resistence defeats skynet the protector a new and inroved virgin of the t 101 played by arnold reveals to john conner that after they defeats skynet a new enemy emerges skynet takes the body of the most hightec terminator so john conner and the human resistence have to fight for the future
I think the point of Marcus was to show that the human/ machine element. I think Marcus will make a comeback of some kind. Perhaps they salvaged his body and because he is part machine, they can bring him back somehow. That would be GREAT! Especially if Sam Worthington plays Marcus again:) Anyway, just sayin'...and of course, CB would HAVE to play JC!
I like your idea. I think they should show Sarah teaching John in that period between T1 and T2. They explain some of that is T2. Maybe show how Sarah ended up in the institute.
i think Kyle should be in T5 and should be sent back to 1984 with the T-800 at the end of T6 so the franchise ends where T1 starts, the plan for T5 sounds crap
I agree with tupluck699. Sarah should go to the furute and they should go to the shelter where there are remains of T-X and T800 and should rebound them and reprogram them, and we will have T-X as an heroine.
Although I do think your idea for a storyline would 'blend' the whole story together, I think it would be a bit 'boring' just to see how all the lines are attached to eachother, without any 'new' concepts.
I think T3 sucked more than T4, is basicly because it brings in new elements, a new twist to the story (not another terminator send back etc).
The problem with number 2,3,4,5 etc of movies is they often do not implement enough new elements, so it basicly feels like a weak rip off, of part 1

I didnt like the storyline the director had planned. What you said was exactly what I thought the new plot should be. But for 6? No. They should end it at 6 but make it like the 4-D ride at universal with the futuristic characters instead of young John and Arnold.

I agree with the author of this post. The problem is, though, that the whole story got lost in sqeezing-some-extra-bucks-out-of-the-great-story once James Cameron stepped out after T2. Terminator 3 was already a mistake having nothing to do with where the previous movies were going. T4 was just a stupid shooter with good actoes and "Terminator" in a title - two things that saved it.
I agree. I just hope the producers who own terminator franchise go with the flow with Terminator 1 and 2 instead of creating their own storyline. I mean they should since they need to show the future part of it as well.

The soldier tells him about this silver liquid man who was slicing and stabbing all of his team, and that he almost didn't make it out of there. John immediately knows what the soldier is talking about. It's the T-1000.
Terminator 5 should start with John Connor giving the picture of Sarah to his father Kyle Reese in the year 2021. John explains it's for good luck. Kyle then joins Perry's unit and finds out that they are indeed building something big, but don't know what it is. It turns out to be the Time Displacement Equipment. Kyle reports in what he has found to Perry, who then in turn relays the message to Connor. John gets more intel from his main Tech Com forces that it is indeed a time machine....^
They should just use the same plot at dances with wolves, last samurai and avatar. But instead, use a machine who falls in love with a human and fights skynet on the side of the humans (the resistance).
They can do the whole future thing, the whole war thing, the whole love story thing, special effects thing and also they need characters which different people can relate to young kids, women and men.
Well Conor is killed in the future anyway as the T-800 M-101 tells him in 3, so how they get around that I don't know, it does give hints in Salvation however that the future seems different so this may not happen. I heard of the vine while salvation was in the early stage that a Terminator from the distant future...is sent to the future...which is still our present, future, and they don't understand, even what its intentions are, as for my theory's I'd need 5000 words and I bet I nail it...
My plot for t5/ t6 part 1 The year is 2025. jhon remembers his boyhood experences and sends a t800 between t2 and 3. this is because a new prototype, the t 801 is sent to this time the t801 is basicly a teen version of arnie w/ different skin & liquid metal joints. arnie finds john and warns him. arnie how ever is vastly supierior to his mini self and defeats it in the first hour. sky net had also developed a return warp feacher in case a terminator c ompletes its mission. end of part1
Great idea! however, i think they should strech this thing aqslong as posible! Mabe even longer than other horror movies, maby friday the 13th. t6 should be time travel. maby they think they stopped it but in t7 they find they didn't. like t3 only better. and give a reson why judgement day wasn't stopped.
i was under the impression that this is where it was going anyway when we saw the original (arnie) terminator at the end of T4. if you get chance to play terminator redemption on the ps2 and cheat your way all the way thru it JUST to see the story line it sort of gives the whole plot of the series away and it ties up the whole series to T2. thats the only way it can and should go. if it doesnt i can see the series becoming pointless and very stale. If J-Day doesn't happen, Kyle wont meet sarah and get her pregnant. So the human race will die, kyle was sent back in 2029. Marcus was killed the year judgment day happened, in 2003, why would McG change it to 2011 when nothing happened yet? T-3 wasn't bad, and if they are making it to where T3 never happened they should have started showing what John and Kate were doing when J-Day happened. That's my opinion. stop recasting John C. Why does everyone disregard T3. Ok it wasn't the best film ever, but it happened and actually after a few watches, gets better and is really underrated. Arnie was in it, everyone goes on about how it's only a Terminator if he is in it so why is T3 so frowned upon? He must have liked the script or he wouldn't have done it. The series has to end with the TX going back otherwise how can you justify T3? We should just embrace it and enjoy. It isn't the end of the world (pardon my pun).

I want to see an man on robot battle. T4 was good, but there was too much plot and not enough battle front. The first 2 films showed the glimps of the future war being very gritty and very war like. It should be just like saving private ryan. Only instead of germans, it's terminators.
pART 3.............these flashbacks from when he and the terminator were close when he was just a boy.Later on John,The T-800,and the other resistance fight the T-1000s later in the movie which will be in the end of the movie.John and the others defeat the T-1000s by something (havent thought of that yet) and one of them decides to go back in time and kill Young John and go back to the past...John f
PART2.........discovers that Kyle is dead for sacrificing himself for Sarah...Were still in the future people.....okay sooo John and the resistance go on their way to figure out how to destroy Skynet once and for all and in the middle of the movie John and the resiatance encounter T-800s and kill all of them except for one (Which will hopefully be Arnold )..and John decides to reprogram the terminator and make him good during that the T-800 and John become close friends,and John gets all
well i like ur idea on t5 but i have this idea on t6. i think in t6 they should show john connor's death(as said by arnie in t3) but somehow they bring him back to life ( say make him half terminator half human? which is on the good side of course) and he comes up with an idea to win the war and FINALLY wins. What fans and people really want to see is the Time Displacement Equipment. They want to see Kyle go through time and they want to see it. A white light, etc...It's what all fans want to see. It's the main reason for watching the series of movies to see Kyle go back and John getting to know Kyle. How hard is it to build a story around that? I liked Marcus' character in Salvation, but there were mistakes in the movie. Perhaps the extended version will shed some light and make it better.
This is how I would end T6...I think the very last Terminator film should end with a gust of wind set in 1984. Could it be a Terminator from the future? This way it would leave the franchise open ended. Is it just the wind? or is someone coming back in time. It's a great ending to see some wind blowing some trash around. I'd have John Connor or Kyle Reese take out the main T-800 that goes back to kill Sarah, we see an explosion and we don't know if the Terminator went through or not.
Well, actually i think it would have been cool if terminator 3 was like salvation, with flashbacks during the movie as to how judgment wassn't averted. basically fusing TS and T3, but it would look more like james cameron's nightmareish judgement day, instead of mcG's desert warefare. At the end, it would have had kyle reese go back through time to save sarah, making the movies come full circle.

I like your ideas. They've helped me come up with mini scriptments for a Terminator 5 and Terminator 6. My titles for them are TERMINATOR EVOLUTION and TERMINATOR REDEMPTION.
Time travel needs to be touched on, but they don't necessarily need to show the past. People should get sent back in time, but that is a given that needs to happen at some point. I also think your idea on how to end the series is really interesting.
ok dude, i got a pretty weird but kinda cool idea, if we start analysing the whole plot of the movie, machines does need for john connor to keep their expansion in the future, so it would be a sick twist to see that the machines kidnapped Kyle for the first time to start making him closer to John Connor, so then machines would send the t-800,that appears on the third movie, to reach killing john..
....kyle would like to take revenge so he would go to destroy the t-800, when he reaches some of the skynet factory, he gots trapped and brainwashed by machines convincing him to get back to past, and have a kid with jonh´s mother(i don´t remember her name right now), so that way machines would have their way to succes all cleared...and when the humans find that out they would capture a t-800 and infiltrate back to the skynet time traveling machine to send it and kill kyle reese.
......then as for terminator 2 and 3, well, machines i guees would send both of the t1000 and tX as well as the t-800 to make sure that jonh keeps beliving that he is the savior of mankind, and he doesn´t take anyother way in his life, what do you guys think??

Secondly: Why is John Connor this prophet like leader? What makes him so important to the resistance?
These ideas were not explored in the movie. They would have given connor the substance he needed to pull this film through.

Yes i agree T5 should be about but i dont like the idea that they had multiple time machines if that was true they could have just sent 10 t-1000 and bam john connor doesent stand a chanse so im pretty sure they only had limited amount of them like 3 and all of them blow up at the end. I dont like the idea that they could stop judgement day because i actually think it should have already stopped in T2 wich is the best movie in the series. Judgement day is the whole center of the films. They should end the whole thing there, but not use the time travel thing just yet. Here are some questions that could be answered in the new series.

They have to be feeling desperate enough to chance it later or smart enough to conclude that killing JC will end the war, but that probably wouldn't happen because someone else would just take over and keep fighting, right?

1-the termnator story is paradux- apuzzle that cannot be solve. how can he be born in the past if his father was born in the future. 2- t5 should solve the puzzle. by stating that Connors father was never Kyle rees that they only thought it was.
The T-1000 is so complex that it most likely has some sort of unique AI, a mind of its own. I would consider the T-1000 maybe even as some sort of metal creature, almost as complex as a living organism, because it's not operated through nanotechnology, but to the very sub-molecular level.
The T-X is basically a suped-up and more advanced version of the T-900, with Mimetic Poly-Alloy covering its endoskeleton. In my opinion, the T-1000 still far exceeds the T-X in advancement. The T-1000 is completely composed of Mimetic Poly-Alloy, which doesn't really make it a cyborg or an android, but more like some sort of sentient metal. Its learning and adapting abilities exceed the T-X's by a long shot.
It wasn't a downgrade at all, just a completely different design. It was designed to be a more efficient killing machine. What I'm saying is that the T-1000 exceeds all other terminators in its technological basis, exceeds so much that their learning capacity doesn't even compare to it.
The T-X is made for a totally different purpose. I really liked T3, it wasn't bad at all, no matter what all these insane T2 fans say. The thing I hated about T2 was John Connor/Furlong.

T-5 is going to be R-rated like the first. They could do a full circle thing in 5 or 6 and have it mess with your head like. For if it ended up that JD did not happen then there would not be a reason John to send Kyle back in time. However as a result John would not be born and the machines win. So in the end you would have 2 time lines one with John and one with out him overlaping for ever. Kind of thing. That would a real mind melt.

I was really dissapointed with salvation movie because I thought the makers will more focus on enslaving the human race, explain why the machines so much hate people and show us how john connor built the resistance forces...but ok... I agree they should focus on Time machine, massive panic because of t800 and development of T1000, and it could end in T6 showing the death of JC by T850 and how Kate infiltrates the main factory of T1000 and hacking and reprograming them all against the skynet....

I believe that [terminator 5] should be half in the future and half in the past. where Kyle Reeces life is saved by a terminator sent back to destroy the t-800 that was sent back to kill Sarah Connor, and it build from the end of the terminator: the sarah connor chronicles. where it shows kyle reece being sent back, then it shows right after that John Henry revealing himself and fighting along side the resistance. building terminators to fight for them instead of reprogramming them.

I sort of stole this idea from another youtube video I just saw, but how about a switching role film. The resistance decide to use time travel to kill the creator of time travel (thinking it'll stop skynet's plans) but skynet sends a T-(whatever) unit to protect him. So the plot is skynet is the goodside for once and the resistance is technically evil for the purposes of the film.

We can't have a time loop anymore because they keep changing judgement day, from 1997 to 2003 to 2011. They ruined the continuity. I'd rather see a completely different film, no John Connor, no time travel. Instead they need to give a skynet or Terminator POV to explain why the machines hate humanity so much. That part of the story has never been explained so far.

I like the idea of creating the next movie in the further future showing events that led to the time travel into the first 2 movies.
I also think if there ever were another movie after it, or this even could be an idea for a new movie outside the terminator frachise, that it could show a link between the Terminator series and the Matrix series, as essentially the Matrix is the same war on machines but in the much further future.

The plot is descent enough for me it could work but I do have a problem with the T-800 and john have a battle and the T-1000 side as well, it for some reason doesn't con jell with me. they took the back to the future reference in T3 its your kids marty its something to be done about the kids!!!! So 5 and 6 will be about them cuz I think they have 2 kids in the future and its them that after they have grown help stop the war.

in the original ending of t2 the judgement day never happens and there is no skynet in the future but i think that james cameron would have fucked up the time space thing because if skynet is destroyd in 1995 then kyle reese never gets sent back in time and then there is no john in that year and everything would be difrent

I think the point of Marcus was to show that the human/ machine element. I think Marcus will make a comeback of some kind. Perhaps they salvaged his body and because he is part machine, they can bring him back somehow. That would be GREAT! Especially if Sam Worthington plays Marcus again:) Anyway, just sayin'...and of course, CB would HAVE to play JC!

Although I do think your idea for a storyline would 'blend' the whole story together, I think it would be a bit 'boring' just to see how all the lines are attached to eachother, without any 'new' concepts.
I think T3 sucked more than T4, is basicly because it brings in new elements, a new twist to the story (not another terminator send back etc).
The problem with number 2,3,4,5 etc of movies is they often do not implement enough new elements, so it basicly feels like a weak rip off, of part 1

I didnt like the storyline the director had planned. What you said was exactly what I thought the new plot should be. But for 6? No. They should end it at 6 but make it like the 4-D ride at universal with the futuristic characters instead of young John and Arnold.

I agree with the author of this post. The problem is, though, that the whole story got lost in sqeezing-some-extra-bucks-out-of-the-great-story once James Cameron stepped out after T2. Terminator 3 was already a mistake having nothing to do with where the previous movies were going. T4 was just a stupid shooter with good actoes and "Terminator" in a title - two things that saved it.

John asking for a volunteer for a top secret mission and Kyle accepts. John relays the message given to Sarah from T1 to Kyle telling him to memorize it...It's really important. John breaks into Skynet one last time and sends Kyle back...he goes in further and finds some deactivated T-800's (T2 type) and reprograms the machine and also sends it back. John and his men blow the place. I haven't came up with a good ending yet, but the Resistance wins...Questions? I know you have some.

captured by Skynet and the movie ends with Reese getting his laser brand on his arm and taking a wheel barrel loaded with bodies towards a furnace where other prisoners are dumping bodies themselves....Connor and his men are beat down, they are exhausted (think Saving Private Ryan) Connor gets word of Reese's capture...All seems lost (think Empire Strikes Back) They just got their butts kicked...T6 starts with saving Reese and learning about Skynets other time travel machine...

A soldier interupts Connor to tell him that one team that went out, only one came back barely alive. John asks the dying soldier what happened? The soldier tells him about this silver liquid man who was slicing and stabbing all of his team, and that he almost didn't make it out of there. John immediately knows what the soldier is talking about. It's the T-1000.

Terminator 5 should start with John Connor giving the picture of Sarah to his father Kyle Reese in the year 2021. John explains it's for good luck. Kyle then joins Perry's unit and finds out that they are indeed building something big, but don't know what it is. It turns out to be the Time Displacement Equipment. Kyle reports in what he has found to Perry, who then in turn relays the message to Connor. John gets more intel from his main Tech Com forces that it is indeed a time machine....^

They should just use the same plot at dances with wolves, last samurai and avatar. But instead, use a machine who falls in love with a human and fights skynet on the side of the humans (the resistance).
They can do the whole future thing, the whole war thing, the whole love story thing, special effects thing and also they need characters which different people can relate to young kids, women and men.

Well Conor is killed in the future anyway as the T-800 M-101 tells him in 3, so how they get around that I don't know, it does give hints in Salvation however that the future seems different so this may not happen. I heard of the vine while salvation was in the early stage that a Terminator from the distant future...is sent to the future...which is still our present, future, and they don't understand, even what its intentions are, as for my theory's I'd need 5000 words and I bet I nail it...

My plot for t5/ t6 part 1 The year is 2025. jhon remembers his boyhood experences and sends a t800 between t2 and 3. this is because a new prototype, the t 801 is sent to this time the t801 is basicly a teen version of arnie w/ different skin & liquid metal joints. arnie finds john and warns him. arnie how ever is vastly supierior to his mini self and defeats it in the first hour. sky net had also developed a return warp feacher in case a terminator c ompletes its mission. end of part1

i was under the impression that this is where it was going anyway when we saw the original (arnie) terminator at the end of T4. if you get chance to play terminator redemption on the ps2 and cheat your way all the way thru it JUST to see the story line it sort of gives the whole plot of the series away and it ties up the whole series to T2. thats the only way it can and should go. if it doesnt i can see the series becoming pointless and very stale. ALSO john connor gets assassinated in the next1

If J-Day doesn't happen, Kyle wont meet sarah and get her pregnant. So the human race will die, kyle was sent back in 2029. Marcus was killed the year judgment day happened, in 2003, why would McG change it to 2011 when nothing happened yet? T-3 wasn't bad, and if they are making it to where T3 never happened they should have started showing what John and Kate were doing when J-Day happened. That's my opinion. stop recasting John C. I liked Stahl, and Bale is good but just stop.

Why does everyone disregard T3. Ok it wasn't the best film ever, but it happened and actually after a few watches, gets better and is really underrated. Arnie was in it, everyone goes on about how it's only a Terminator if he is in it so why is T3 so frowned upon? He must have liked the script or he wouldn't have done it. The series has to end with the TX going back otherwise how can you justify T3? We should just embrace it and enjoy. It isn't the end of the world (pardon my pun).

The thing is Sky Net sent the Terminators back through time because the Humans win the war. So they should have the epic future war then to finish it off they send the machinces back.
I want to see an man on robot battle. T4 was good, but there was too much plot and not enough battle front. The first 2 films showed the glimps of the future war being very gritty and very war like. It should be just like saving private ryan. Only instead of germans, it's terminators.

well i like ur idea on t5 but i have this idea on t6. i think in t6 they should show john connor's death(as said by arnie in t3) but somehow they bring him back to life ( say make him half terminator half human? which is on the good side of course) and he comes up with an idea to win the war and FINALLY wins. ( and maybe include a montage of resistance from around the world pwning global skynet ).. thats wat i think.

my fave is T2 and I'd like to have a time travel accident in T6 cause when john connor tries to destroy all the time machines it actually leads to a metalfunction and the war is brung into the middle of T1 and T2 because I know some people still want a war and some people want the final battle in the past so... the war goes into the past and it will have a final battle between arnold and arnold the bad arnold v the good arnold it

What fans and people really want to see is the Time Displacement Equipment. They want to see Kyle go through time and they want to see it. A white light, etc...It's what all fans want to see. It's the main reason for watching the series of movies to see Kyle go back and John getting to know Kyle. How hard is it to build a story around that? I liked Marcus' character in Salvation, but there were mistakes in the movie. Perhaps the extended version will shed some light and make it better.

This is how I would end T6...I think the very last Terminator film should end with a gust of wind set in 1984. Could it be a Terminator from the future? This way it would leave the franchise open ended. Is it just the wind? or is someone coming back in time. It's a great ending to see some wind blowing some trash around. I'd have John Connor or Kyle Reese take out the main T-800 that goes back to kill Sarah, we see an explosion and we don't know if the Terminator went through or not.

Well, actually i think it would have been cool if terminator 3 was like salvation, with flashbacks during the movie as to how judgment wassn't averted. basically fusing TS and T3, but it would look more like james cameron's nightmareish judgement day, instead of mcG's desert warefare. At the end, it would have had kyle reese go back through time to save sarah, making the movies come full circle.

right ther with you james should write the script and clear up the mistakes people made in t3 and t4 sarah connor should be in this film they should not have killed her maybe she was in hiding didnt want to meet kyle coz of the past etc and we should find out how skynet or cyberdine created time travel more apocalypse and more tying it to past events and please bring linda hamilton back her working wiht christian bale would be fab

I like your ideas. They've helped me come up with mini scriptments for a Terminator 5 and Terminator 6. My titles for them are TERMINATOR EVOLUTION and TERMINATOR REDEMPTION.
Time travel needs to be touched on, but they don't necessarily need to show the past. People should get sent back in time, but that is a given that needs to happen at some point. I also think your idea on how to end the series is really interesting.

ok dude, i got a pretty weird but kinda cool idea, if we start analysing the whole plot of the movie, machines does need for john connor to keep their expansion in the future, so it would be a sick twist to see that the machines kidnapped Kyle for the first time to start making him closer to John Connor, so then machines would send the t-800,that appears on the third movie, to reach killing john..

....kyle would like to take revenge so he would go to destroy the t-800, when he reaches some of the skynet factory, he gots trapped and brainwashed by machines convincing him to get back to past, and have a kid with jonh´s mother(i don´t remember her name right now), so that way machines would have their way to succes all cleared...and when the humans find that out they would capture a t-800 and infiltrate back to the skynet time traveling machine to send it and kill kyle reese.

The bigesst problem with salvation is the plotholes that idiot McG created. First one: Why does Skynet want to kill John Connor? (this is not explained)
Secondly: Why is John Connor this prophet like leader? What makes him so important to the resistance?
These ideas were not explored in the movie. They would have given connor the substance he needed to pull this film through.

ok let me explain a better idea time altered in the T-2 movie becuz jugdement day was supposed to be in 1997 but ended up being in 2003 so T-4 is a alternate future Marcus is the first of his kinda so i guess in T-5 the year should be 2020 or sometimes in the future where john conner is studying marcus engineering and learn his the the one that can stop the terminator then skynets greatest weapon shows up which is the T-1000 And take him back where Marcus comes back to life

Yes i agree T5 should be about but i dont like the idea that they had multiple time machines if that was true they could have just sent 10 t-1000 and bam john connor doesent stand a chanse so im pretty sure they only had limited amount of them like 3 and all of them blow up at the end. I dont like the idea that they could stop judgement day because i actually think it should have already stopped in T2 wich is the best movie in the series. Its like T-101 said: "Judgement day is unavoidable".

Judgement day is the whole center of the films. They should end the whole thing there, but not use the time travel thing just yet. Here are some questions that could be answered in the new series.
How do we get to the point where the terminators are being sent back?
They have to be feeling desperate enough to chance it later or smart enough to conclude that killing JC will end the war, but that probably wouldn't happen because someone else would just take over and keep fighting, right?

The T-1000 is so complex that it most likely has some sort of unique AI, a mind of its own. I would consider the T-1000 maybe even as some sort of metal creature, almost as complex as a living organism, because it's not operated through nanotechnology, but to the very sub-molecular level.

The T-X is basically a suped-up and more advanced version of the T-900, with Mimetic Poly-Alloy covering its endoskeleton. In my opinion, the T-1000 still far exceeds the T-X in advancement. The T-1000 is completely composed of Mimetic Poly-Alloy, which doesn't really make it a cyborg or an android, but more like some sort of sentient metal. Its learning and adapting abilities exceed the T-X's by a long shot.

It wasn't a downgrade at all, just a completely different design. It was designed to be a more efficient killing machine. What I'm saying is that the T-1000 exceeds all other terminators in its technological basis, exceeds so much that their learning capacity doesn't even compare to it.
The T-X is made for a totally different purpose. I really liked T3, it wasn't bad at all, no matter what all these insane T2 fans say. The thing I hated about T2 was John Connor/Furlong.
