...... This is just my opinion, but what I think the song is all about is achieving your dreams, and then finding out it was nothing like you thought it would be. "I spent my highschool career spit on and shoved to agree, so I can watch all my heroes sell a car on TV." It's about waking up and noticing that nothing in the world is pretty or perfect, no matter where or who you are. You just gotta try the hardest you can to make it into a place you can live with.

i think that you are meant to take your own interpretation and that this song holds a personal message for evry single one of us.
