  • this tune is beautiful!! what is it? did you write it?

beautiful. you've just sold this guitar to me. can i please have the song some how?

  • more of a thinline

  • do a demo of the G&L Comanche

  • I live for the day when and if I will be able to play my G & L like this......great talent!!

  • any idea why the semi hollow is almost half the price of the solid body? i cant imagine the solid body sounding any better, this sounds absolutely gorgeous.

  • On some g&l's the tone knob sweeps the midrange and keeps the bass and treble intact.Kind of sounds like a wah-wah.Does this model do that?

  • well my next guitar has been decided...

  • I bought an ASAT (1994) Classic very simular to the one Greg is playing here. Great sounding guitar, amazing fit and finish. Top quality. Love it.

I also own a Fender American Standard Telecaster. Played side by side they are quite different indeed. I wouldn't say that one sounds better than the other though. Just different. Fender brighter. Asat smoother. All good.

We all know the secret to a great sounding guitar.....go home and PRACTICE!

    Cheers, Robere

  • @blueturtleman1 "...secret to a great sounding guitar...go home and practice" That has to be the best comment I've read on youtube.

  • Hi Greg,

    Awesome playing as usual!

Which do you prefer and why - G&L ASAT Classic or Telecaster Custom Shop? I can't decide between the two and can't afford both :(

  • Was Leo Fender's guitars better than the Fenders that are so popular? What is the differences in Leo's designs and pickups than the Fenders of today?

  • nice feel mate good sound too

  • I have one of these, an ash with clear orange finish and natural binding. Been playing 45 years and had many Fenders--these are better than Fender Custom shop guitars. They are bargains when used, great guitars.

  • A very interesting point do you have a G&L

  • Sounds warmer than a Fender. Do you know much about the electronics in it?

  • Magnetic field pickups designed by Leo himself and made by G&L. These guitars are fantastic and some say, more Fender than Fender.

  • @CodyCEngdahl This one is the chinesse import version, very nice though.

I have the original (american) and the sound is very full and crisp compared to an american telecaster. Different character, but both are great guitars.

  • @stevespeeder not chinese . indonesian :D

  • I'm pretty sure all the electronics in the cheaper model G&L's are the same as the higher quality Models the only difference is the wood and other parts are better on the American G&L's

  • @WhoHitWho

Not sure if it's true but I thought all parts of the guitars (electrics and woods) in the tribute series were the same as the US but were just assembled in Indonesia?
