Just to answer Cranky's and some peoples question: Squirt is a slug.

Its body is meant to be hidden behind the waterfall. On the SNES, it doesn't stand out so much that they only animated its head it and also doesn't fall down.

i bought this game not knowing how they butchered the game took it home poped it in my gamecube played some of the first level then had to go back to the store to return this its just that bad.i could never recommended this game to anyone dont know if its because i played the orginal. imo only one good dk on the gba and its part 1.

Yeah, the graphics took a hit, and the sound has been changed to sound cartoony.

no not all the ports. DKC is still really good and they didn't touch the first two original LoZ games at all. Super Mario World is still mostly as I remember the changes they made didn't affect the quality of the game, though Sonic the Hedgehog has some irksome problems and I don't like the irritating new sound effects to SMB3, but it still plays like I remember it. in the main map i think you go above the water fall to the right top. But you have to ram the waterfall fast so you can get above it.

Yeah, you're pressing the wrong button. You have to hold Down and R to suck up the water, and press R (without holding Down) to shoot it back. The B Button is only used to suck barrels (and to run, of course).

Many of the original songs don't fit the gameplay in Pacifica. So it may be that more than the low-pitched songs. Altough it can be understandable, I need to turn the volume of my TV to 50 so that I can listen to the music in DKC3 (SNES), but I don't like how loud the sound-effects are then, even though the music can be heard barely. The same happens when I enter a bonus, since it was a David Wise song and he tends to use high notes.

I like the boss music when you fight all the bosses except Arich and Kroctopus for this version. It's just too bad it's used for the final and extra boss! Why didn't they used Arich and Kroctopus's boss music for the main bosses and the normal boss music for the final and extra boss? WHY!?!?!?
