  • It seems like people either side strongly with pro-drafters or anti-drafters. people either see total benefit or total danger. I am a total benefit kind of guy. If you do it right you can reap some cool rewards and bragging rights.. also, i don't see why truckers argue that they need to see who's behind them, they should be looking ahead. Even if they need to brake, the drafter behind them can still brake faster, and don't forget simply change lanes when things get tight.

  • trucks are very heavy and cars are very light in comparison, a car can out brake a truck on the worst of days. Well maybe not a crappy old car with only drum brakes but anything with discs in front will.

  • First comment is just dumb. If the truck needs to stop which you can't see around if the ICE Bar stops you it will be like hitting a brick wall. If it bends inward/upward you may be decapitated. I've picked these up before with tow trucks, it's a nasty mess not worth trying to save maybe 5-10% on a go carts fuel cost, for cycles really deadly. Had 4 wheelers tailgate salvage hauls with loose parts many times. Stay safe out there give us some room to keep you alive!

  • The risk is worth the benefits.

  • Only a twit would follow right up the tail of a truck. If the truck brakes you'll get squished under that rear bar on the trailer.
