Now all Kholdstare needs is the ability to shoot frozen lighting. Really. He looks like a boss in the Kirby games. That giant storm cloud boss that appears in nearly every Kirby game.
I'm pretty sure the game treats the ice as a separate enemy from the puffballs. And I'd guess that they didn't flag it as invulnerable to Bombos, like the puffballs are, and so Bombos can "kill" the ice in one hit like it does most other enemies.
I didn't have the Bombos medallion before I fought Kholdstare, so I had to use the fire rod when he was in the ice and Chraged sword slashes to defeat him and his clones.
If I was making this game I would have made that boss insanely difficult.

The Fire Rod works on the 2nd part, and actually causes twice as much damage as the tempered sword. Just thought you'd want to know.

my favorite Zelda Game, I like it even better than the new ones, no plethora of insane redundant puzzles in Zelda 3, just good adventure, and fun.
Newer Zelda games need to learn a lesson from this game.

Personally, I like Wind Waker the best, but this is my second favorite. It will live forever in my heart because it was SO GODDAMN FUN!

Nice play! I always use the Fire Rod on the puffballs, it's easy to trap one in a corner and finish it off quickly.

uhh.. nice victory... bombos is like a shortcut
anyways, can you use the bombos on the puffballs?
HydroXSpear 3 years ago
No, I don't think it has any effect on them. The medallions usually don't hurt bosses.
Desbreko 3 years ago
whats that thing u used to defrost the ice mode?
HydroXSpear 3 years ago
It was the Bombos Medallion. You get it in the desert, I think, after reading the Book of Mudora at a stone tablet on a mountain.

I just finished beating this guy with the LVL 2 sword, minimum hearts and green armour. That was a little more difficult.
