  • She just floats in her world And he tries to touch She recoils Does not know You sit in the corner and watch her In the evening You wake up from sleep See an open window And are not sure What has happened to her What has she done You fear she has jumped Outside she flies On a little cloud She has built a transparent tower With a paintbrush And inside it All the angels fly And all the little fairies dance In a circle turning round and round Endlessly

  • this is one of my favorite songs =)

  • The chord progressions in this are really interesting, unlike ALL pop music.

    I love Yael Naim :D

  • Wow, beautiful

  • --This rhythm to this song is the same as "Mine, mine, mine" From Pocahontas, took me forever to figure that out.

  • Hebrew?

  • @cooldudette101 Indeed, it's hebrew. :D

  • Definitely

  • I listened to this on repeat for like 20 minutes, trying to understand the lyrics. Then I realized it wasn't in English. I still love it. :]

  • @dinaklarisse lol

  • She's fucking amazing .

  • @tech4156 no one told you to listen to it

  • @1992SFA actually a nubbin like u did tell me to listen to it.

  • @tech4156 i discovered your mom gave birth to a half-wit, low-life, twat.

  • @x16leon why u talking about my brother? did u two split up? anyway as for me i am convinced ur a dumb anal eating wannabe cyberthug.

  • what ethnicity is she

  • @67947267 She's jewish :)

  • not only Jewish, but she's actually Israeli/French

  • @ChanaRules That's not an ethnicity, that's a religion :)

  • @skyeyez101 Well, it's a very tricky question, I mean, I know some very religious jews and secular ones, too. For example, a man was born as a Jew, but when he grew up, he decided not to go to the synagogue or following some jewish traditions, and marries a non-jewish girl; however, he identifies himself as a Jew, despite the fact he's NOT practicing the religion :D And, there are some physical features you can identify in every Jew.

Now, the converted ones... that's another story.

  • @ChanaRules

Jewish is a word than can describe either an ethnicity or a religion. They are not the same thing, though they oftencoincide.

  • @skyeyez101 its both. nice try

  • @skyeyez101 It is both an ethnicity and a religion. That is why certain genetic conditions are more prevalent in Jewish people.

  • @skyeyez101 it's both

  • @skyeyez101 it's both

  • @skyeyez101

    its both.

  • @skyeyez101 It's both.

  • @skyeyez101 Yeah... Jewish can actually be both. It's complicated.

  • @skyeyez101 actually, it is an ethnicity. :) its a race, religon, and culture. all rolled into one beautiful ball of awsomeness!

  • @JewishCutie

    Yup!

  • @skyeyez101 Jewish is both an ethnicity and a religion. The ancient Jews were an actual tribe of people that is why there are many physical characteristics associated with being Jewish.

  • @betsyboo109 Well said.

  • @betsyboo109

Yeh, as many as there are people in the world. We are united only by our Faith (and sometimes ununified).

  • @ChanaRules I figured from the name... Music is the international language though. :)

  • @67947267 white. cant u see

  • @tech4156 haha, white can be a lot of things. stfu and stop trolling

  • @67947267 Tunisian Jew.

  • @jdk946 Who lives in(possibly grew up in?) Paris :) (I think :P)

  • @stylishsid Yeah :) she lived in Paris, France till she was 4 and moved to Ramat HaSharon, Israel.

  • @67947267 she is tunisian and israelie. check on her autobriography

  • reminds me of a nightmare at a circus with a scary clown holding a very sharp nife with a ugly look on his face

  • You want me to kill myself Yael Naim. Well I never could afford an Apple. Maybe you're right. Get me the razor.

  • Cool, I never heard Hebrew before

  • yael is my discovery of the year :)

But Israel is such a beautiful country and I want to know it...:)

  • Good, yeah!

  • Hey, all the people who like Yael Naim's music, I've got somethin' 2 tell u:

There's a great singer from Israel. Her name is Nini Achinoam, a.k.a. Noa. She has (like Yael Naim) a beautiful voice and sings in hebrew and sometimes in english, too.

I've uploaded a video from her. The song is "Pines", and in this video you can see the lyrics in hebrew + english translation.

I hope you like that song...such a beautiful melody.

    It's in my YouTube profile.

  • is this hebrew or french?

  • Hebrew!!!!!

  • I cant understand the words, but i like the song

  • If you read the first comments in this video, you'll see the translation.

Sorry 4 my bad english :P

  • wtf? is she speaking in french?! i cant understand her but i like far far and new soul by her! ILY

  • I think I hear Hebrew. She's Israeli, born in France.

  • Me too I love this song <3

  • this song is simplistic beauty in its n=most genius form. But b4 all that, y'all are really having a translation battle royal, i already called HBO and the season premiere of "live lyrics" (my idea!!!) airs in Feb, right after Heroes, LOLOLOLOl

  • Omg I just found out about her like 20,30 minutes ago and now I'm totally in love with almost all her song even although I don't understand what she's singing about in some of it! ~

  • such a beautiful song, lyrical and in every aspect of it! love!

  • thanks guys for the upload, the lyrics and the translation, awesome! such an awesome song! it sounds like something french (exotic) but in hebrew,(still exotic) amazing! Yael is truly a very great artist! love and peace / Sweden

  • She's just floating in her world, la la la la...

And he's just trying to touch her, she flinches, (she) doesn't know (why).

He sits in the corner and observing her.

In the evening he wakes up from his sleep and sees an open window and he's not sure about - what happened to her... What did she do...

  • (He's) afraid that she jumped and flew from outside on a little clowd...

There will grow a body in a paintbrush that all of the angels fly within it and all of the little fairies dance in a circle that endlessly turns around...

(I've got a friend from Tel Aviv, and he send to me that translation) ^^

  • Awesomee! Thanks! It's nicer to know what a song's lyrics are even if the song itself sounds really nice(:

  • Any chance could someone post the translation here? Or a link to it?

  • Magnifique chanson.

  • I'm answering you in english, cause: 1. I DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH VERY WELL. 2. About french language...I just know how to say "mademoiselle" "oui" "ne me quitte pas" and stuff like that (so ashamed :$)

My friend (he's from Tel Aviv, Israel, and speaks almost 10 languages...I wanna do that!!!) told me that this song is completely in HEBREW!!!

(But I've got the translation, and I'm gonna send it 2 U ^^)

  • Merci, je ne suis pas fou ^^

  • I would like the translation!! could you send it to me please???

  • It's called Yiddish. Hebrew is the writing.

  • As a matter of fact, it's hebrew. Yiddish is closer to german.

  • I've got the translation of this song, does someone want to know bout that?

  • I would love the translation pleaseee :)

  • i need a traslationn tooo!!
