Great demonstration of the MFJ 1025 noise canceller for sure but why you don't try the Flex 3000 noise canceller vs the MFJ ??? Curious because i heard that the Flex 3000 will do the same if not better result .
The MFJ 1025 or the 1026 are for real. I phase a 1 foot AOR 390-LA loop with a simple 25 foot long wire clipped onto the 1026's amplified whip. Using the 1026, you can match the gain on both, adjust the phase, and blammo, noise gone. It isn't magic, you need to have the same noise on both antennas, My set up has drawbacks (poor pick up below 7000khz on the long wire), but the results are impressive. I've pulled stuff out of noise that was otherwise a non-copy. Good video, believe it.
The distance between antennas is about 1 foot - I installed an earthing relay into my MFJ so that on transmit, the other antenna goes to earth (stop RF).
It will help with plasmas and powerlines.
The video is 40M - but yes it will work (confirmed what ive used 80m to 10m)
It only rejects ONE source of interference at a time - cannot phase out multiple sources from multiple directions at the same time.
I cannot stress enough that your "Noise" antenna is equally as important as your primary antenna. I'm using a 40m LOOP for my primary and a 40M dipole for my noise antenna. As you can see, it works!
Nice to see a Flex being used in VK, the noise canceller does seem to do a great job too. Great set-up you have there.
Also, Ignore Burt, his favourite pastime seems to be stereotyping other hams, insulting everyone, and starting pointless arguments that only him and himself agree with.
It's always interesting to see MFJ products get reviewed by the YT user group. I own several of their products-the 1020B active whip, 959B tuner pre-amp,and the 989B roller tuner-and they seem to perform within specs. Thanks for sharing a bit of the 40 meter band, too.
Others can comment on any "mental problem" related to me. You may find this shocking but there are fake videos on You Tube. The reviews on Eham are mixed.
Very nice demo!! Much more informative and professionally done (versus the original). Demo shows exactly what actions the operating is taking and the resultant outcomes. Glad that you demo'd the radio's DSP although it was a bit hurried. Including CW as part of the demo would enhance it even more. Thanks es 73!

Wow, that is simply amazing. Completely lowers your noise floor too! Great video!

For lot of years this noise is my nightmare!!! This video is absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!!! Maybe tis MFJ coul be my solution!
Thank's Alex iz7fmm.

Fantastic demo. Can you give some info on the "earthing relay"? What is it and how do you set it up?

verry good demo.

Yes, thanks.
I've just purchased the Flex-3000, the built in NB is fantastic at removing noise but a few strong local sources remain.
Hopefully the 1026 can deal with them.
Have you posted the details of the earthing mod anywhere ?
That could come in useful for quite a few users.
Regards.

What is the separation between your RX/TX antenna and the sense antenna ?
Would this unit help with interference from plasma TV's and powerline etc ?
How broad is the rejection banwidth, just 20m or 1Mhz or greater ?
Will it reject only one source of interference or can it handle several sources.
Sorry to ask so many questions, but this is a very informative video.
Well done.
thanks

I assure you guys, its not fake.

Of course you could have achieved this remarkable result wuth good editing. But you seem pretty honest and your video prompted good discussion

Do you have some sort of mental problem? Noise cancellation by using phasing is a tried and true method.
What does he have to gain from editing the video to show results otherwise?

I guess you're right, and me saying you may have a mental problem is about as lame as accusing a fellow ham of faking a video.
I apologize.

That was nice of you
