  • steve does the concept of "metabolic resistance" exist. like doing everything properly on diet but still not losing. i used to think i had it. what is ur opinion.

  • @copnite12342 well i dont think it exists coz if your on a proper diet and working out you would lose weight, the reason you wouldn't lose weight would be eating too much and not working out, or just eating way to less that your body goes into starvation and saves every last ounce of the calories you give it.

  • @wellslowly22: i would know my body a bit more thoroughly than you since i've lived in it for 20 years, i used to be able to lose 1 lb per week . now it does not happen. i excersise like mad and eat a lot of greens and protein/vitamins, so don't you dare tell me im not trying. i was under the impression that i was talking to steve. not you. my body changed when i went out of state. i was under a lot of literal terror. resulting in hair loss, skin changing colors and in and out of the Hospital.

  • @wellslowly22 shut ur fucking ass u fucktard. u dont know anything about women and have no care for them. ur a typical taliban mentality. go fuck bin ladin u asshole. and learn to speak English u fucking indian- nigger. the british should come back and make u their slaves. kiss mountbaten's ass loser.

  • @copnite12342 and you call me a racist lol funny girl you need a mental check up :) "JESUS LOVES YOU" so just chill.

  • @wellslowly22 and btw i just checked with my physician...i lost 11 pounds in a months time. you know why? the one thing us westerns have that u lack....compassion. encouragement. and humdurdi for others. something u dont know about

  • @copnite12342 hmm i dont really need a physician to tell me how much weight i lost lol i can read...(sarcasm)

  • @wellslowly22 oh so ur from india? india se aye ho tum? now that expains everything. im pakistani by half. u desis have no idea what you put ur daughters through. i lived in that country pakistan for 10 years and i deeply am ashamed , you pakis and indis are all alike, you want ur girls skinny. u want ur girls white. in marriage a girl who is dark and has a a slightly heavy build gets ridiculed and mocked. u people have on clue on what stress does to the body? do u know what cortisol is?....

  • @wellslowly22 When the body goes through extreme tension and fear the body shuts down and goes into survival mode. it thinks the body is endanger and tries to preserve as much body fat in order to survive, like being in the mountains with no food for days. you people have lots of knowledge in many things, but in this u lack. in usa they inject cows and goats and pigs with extreme hormones. so they can be fat for cooking, the hormones get into the eaters system causing early puberty.

  • @wellslowly22 casuing early puberty in kids. thats why girls of nine start having menstrual cycles. too much exposure to such chemicals and artificiality in the body destroys the bodies natural processes such as metabolism among other things. making it difficult to reduce as the body's system is confused. indian .pak 's food is not exposed to the same hormones. they are more natural. USA has its many faults. but to me pakistan and india are the most vain superficial people.

  • @wellslowly22 if a girl is fat she's treated like shit. if a boy is fat no one says anything. they call him powerful and majestic. . im a muslim girl who likes to where burqas, jeans and scarves, but i will NEVER tolerate such discrimination u people[pakistan included] show to women. in america no one cares what u look like. i've seen black white tall thin fat small all together. they love from the heart, in spite their sexuality. they are people who will care no matter what. think about that.

  • lol sry for truth

  • so true! part of the reason why I don't like going to the gym is watching people wander around instead of training. I actually had someone say to me that I was really very sweaty. um, I am at the gym! anyway, now I just run outside to avoid the silliness of the gym.

  • may i ask, why did my body mass increase and looked much bigger size after i went to gym frequently a year ago? All i did every week was walking on treadmill, pilates and some crunches. I've stop eating rice too. I wanted to lose my belly fat but instead, i gain more facial fat, wider hip and bigger arms. Why is this?

    -i'm from malaysia-

  • @jtma91 Your weight or body mass shouldn't be increasing if you're decreasing your calories and doing cardio. Check the number of calories you eat each day.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV i've cut down alot on carbs. Nowadays, i avoid rice and deep-fried food. I seldom drink soft drinks and eat sweet cakes. I literally changed my whole diet since last year. I started eating oats, muesli, sweet potato, chickpea, pasta and more vege. Then after that, my body figure started changing.

  • @jtma91 That's great. Keep up the good work.

  • men think women mean bulk up like body building competitors but I don't think that's it. women say bulk up to mean they don't want to loose the feminine soft physique like being hard or chiseled. they want a fit body but not necessarily an athletic looking body. they want their bodies to stay supple.

  • Don't be sorry for the truth! I love all your video. Thank you!

  • LOL! "Sorry for the truth" That facial expression is pricless

  • HAHA! I know!

  • well, my problem is the opposite. I'm big but I lose my legs quicker than any other part. So I tend to not focus on them too much. Is that wrong?

  • Maybe the women are referring to post work out swelling of the muscles?

  • i want to loose weight but i want to gain muscle what do i eat to do so i dont have a clue any help would be great

  • This "fear" is also a weight training myth.

  • Simple is better. Leg press 12-15 reps. 3sets. Standing (not walking) lunges holding dumbbells. 10 reps each leg. 3sets. Lying leg curls 10-12 reps. 3 sets. These are working sets once you're warmed up. This is one type of routine. Simple and easy. I will have more exercises for free when I relaunch my site in about a week.

  • Hello

I am woman, and I am interested in body sculpting, lean muscle mass, fat loss. I want to shrink not grow. How many exercises should I do for legs and how many reps for advanced women in the gym??? Would yo provide an example .

    Teresa

  • I think it's safe to say that even when you are trying to lose weight, you eat a little more if you exercise regularly hence why I am not surprise these women are worried about chunky thighs when they look in the mirror and think: Huh, but why if I am working out everday I am still not gaining firmness? Err firstly, you need to sweat not just "exercise" as it helps I promise. Even Barbies should be taught such Rocket Science.

  • ok

    errr???

what u said makes no sense

  • I have a question, I'm into bodybuilding but at the moment I'm also trying to lose fats so I do taebo everyday and I diet, can you please tell me what kind of weight-lifting I should do, like, how many sets and reps and should it be light or moderately heavy? I don't want to use steroids.

  • The first question you need to ask yourself, and what any professional would ask you right off the bat is what do you want to get from weightlifting? A great looking body, muscle enhancement, etc.. What is your goal, as that ultimately effects the type of weight lifting routine that you would be using.

  • I would like to enhance muscle, sort of like a bodybuilder but not that big. Problem is, I'm female, so I really don't know what to do to achieve that kind of body without using steroids.

  • Sorry about the late response, just got back from a trip to Las Vegas. From the sounds of it I think the best work out routine for you would be that called "core conditioning." If you go to any fitness club and ask the fitness instructors there, I guarantee you they will be able to set you up with your own routine if you meet up with there, including a strict diet. Most clubs also have classes they offer several times weekly, and from there you get back what you put into it. -good luck-

  • He can't be saying "Welcome to this episode of body performce" - Seriously try and say it as fast as you can it still takes a long time to say it. He definitely isn't saying that.

  • that is what he says, he says it at the start of all of his videos, plus its not even that fast, i can hear it perfectly

  • who cares ?:D fool

  • This is exactly what I see at my gym every day. Girls using 3 lbs dumbbells thinking they'll "tone" their body. Same goes for the suckers thinking they can burn fat from any area they want at any time they want, it's a big embarrassing misunderstanding, and people who work out should really read about the basics before they start.

  • he says....."im steve turano welcome to ... subserbabodyperformance" LOL

Steve clear this up for us lol

  • LOL it's true!

  • He says "I'm Steve Turano, welcome to this episode of body performance"

He just says it really quickly thats all.

  • ha ha that's what it sounded like the first time heard it too! i'm on your side!

  • Can someone please tell me what he says at the start of all his vids? "Welcome to ....... body building" It sounds like hes saying "subsurder bodybuilding".

  • I think its Welcome to this episode of body performance.

  • i have seem all of them and he says that on all of them and i still dont know wtf it is lol ya not alone on that one

  • While I dont agree 100% with everything you say in your videos (Im not referring to this particular video), I think overall you send a great message and you provide great motivation & inspiration. Thanks and keep it up!

I think most of my disagreements stem from the fact that you sometimes oversimplify in order to keep your videos under 2 minutes. Any particular reason for this? I say take as long as you need to be thorough!

Again, Im not talking about this particular video.

    Cheers,Keep it up!

  • Hahaha you're breaking their dreams :-)

  • i love women x all shapes and sizes ... i will love ur body x

  • its neither fat nor working too hard.... its just that there legs get pumped up after a work out ...just like us guys when we get down with like a set of push ups.... women tend to look at very short term gain alot more and will see the illusion of there legs getting bigger do to just a simple pump up

  • great vid.

but seriously, all the women complaining about their physiques half of them still don't believe this even after you tell them. You can tell from the look on their faces; that hesitant look of "yea... i don't really buy that and i don't want to risk my arms getting TOO BIG"

seriously they're either too stupid to understand or too friggin lazy

  • not to bash women or anything, just the ones that complain and ask for help but then refuse to keep an open mind.

for the ones that listen or have already got it. kudos to you and much respect.

  • i know what you mean, my sister is one of them, she won't do weight training because she doesn't want to look like a man, and she won't even try to run properly, i know she can but she does this pathetic jog instead. She takes advice then says oh no that doesn't work for me and does the wrong thing!

  • thank's for this vid, it really helps me a lot to understand. I gained muscles on my legs and arms and I loved it but the fats were still there, lol! more fats to burn!

urgh!...btw I'm back on track again Steve. I've bn lazy that's why I gained the weights I lost b-4...More Power to you Steve!

  • omg...this is such a hard point to get over to women, one myself...I can't beat this up in a donut and serve it. thanks...ur the real deal!

  • man, how truth! They say this every time.

  • Yup, they're totally retarded.

  • so true

  • thanks for this. So many women use this excuse..

  • good vid, i hate it when women say this.

  • Well thank you for the info, but you need to do little research before you make a false statement!! I'm a Women and I have More Testosterone then MOST males, Thank to PCOS. but other then that you are right about everything else. I love watching your videos it helps me a lot.

  • What's PCOS?

  • Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

  • Thanks.

  • Thats great Steve, you're such a ladies man...are you single?

  • amen to that! That's what my friends whine to me whenever we work out together. they're even hesitant to walk a long flight of stairs!

  • amen to thattt
