first of all i just wanna say THANK YOU!!!!! these vids have been so helpful second.......i've been sculpting a 1/6 head, how do you hair (mohair) a sculpt?
@causerDAguv ...So happy you have enjoyed the videos and that they are helping, always great to hear. So with 1/6th size head you are talking about a doll approx. 12 inches high? Very easy to do (I show basically in this series of videos) glue and picking the right size hair for the size sculpt... if you meant 1/2 the size of a 1:12th scale ...then I would sculpt the hair...
Love your work & find your videos so helpful.... I know that there is a correct name for the bumpy ear thingie......... but I just call it a nubbin : )
Yes...Ears can be a pain in the keester at times...but once you master ears...there is no great joy in sculpting than doing a good set of ears...learning the human ear, you can then sculpting any type of ear, from realistic to fantasy.
You've such an incredible talent; sculpting is so much more difficult than people think. I took ceramics in high school and found it to be EXTREMELY frustrating - your teaching method has made things a lot easier and TONS more fun.
I love these. You have been my favorite for years and its so great to see how you do it. I still have the "Doll Crafter" with the little girl and grandmother watching the parade and I still find new things every time I look at it.
That part of the ears is called the tragus
