I met Lucy Grealy when she was teaching in Missoula. I thought she was beautiful. And I mean that. She was great looking and charming. yea, there was something a little off about her face but nothing you'd really notice unless you were aware of her situation. I wanted to tell her but i was so awed by her presence that I failed to muster the courage. I wrote her several times in NYC but the letters were rambling and a little insane. I wish I'd told her.

What an interesting person. Autobiography of a face is by far the best book I have read.
