  • the fake band fucking rules minus the lyrics. this is so not what punk rock is.

  • oddly enought, i really like the fake band's music. hahaha

  • "I don't care what kinda names you call me" lol

  • I think one would die of boredom before they could actually overdose on codeine.

  • @Meursault40 I think Melora's character was allergic. That's how they explained it.

The fact that these "punks" were the ones cast requires that there were other "punks" who auditioned who were WORSE than them. Oh, Jesus.

  • I think he was trying to say "escaped goat"

  • what's ironic ... and/or sad ... is that even at its worst, the punk scene was nowhere near as violent or nihilistic as the gangsta rap or black metal scenes (except maybe for GG Allin).

  • "ex-cape goat": he was wrong on the word he also got wrong.

  • so-saety!

  • Trudy Monk, the Quincy Punk! It rhymes. *lol*

  • @mommyrocket huuhm

  • looks like a bunch of hollywood poser punks in the background. jewish hollywood hated the hardcore scene. they were scared the OC and south bay kids were all nazis. so they started making anti punk episodes, movies. etc

  • @TheNewMusicNetwork Some were. Doesn't make it wrong.

  • "Hit the road, square! ...Herbert! hr

  • right when this episode first aired, a wannabe punk rocker named GG Allin was sitting in his shitty run-down Boston apartment and started taking notes on how to be even more "punk rock."

  • @tsartodd um, not really- GG was fronting The Jabbers from 1977-1984. This episode aired in 1982. GG was a lot of things, but a "wannabe" is not one of them.

  • @danheckler haha i know too well that GG Allin was no wannabe-punk. he would've eaten and shit out all of the "punkers" in this episode (literally). i was just trying to be funny is all.

  • @tsartodd gg wasnt a punk at all. played punk music, but gg was something else all together..one of a kind

  • it's Molly Ringwald @ 2:12, Johnny Depp @ 2:15, and Carrot Top @ 2:26, in their first appearances.

    XD XD XD

  • "No coroner should be wrapped up in a web of intrigue..." Lil Jimmy Norton

  • Man, I remember seeing this when it first aired. This episode did for punk what Reefer Madness did for weed.

    "I wanna see you CHOOOOOOOKE!!"

  • You all claimed these episodes were a crock of shit and stupid.....and now they sell mowhawk gel at Wal-Mart next to the Misfits tshirts.......thanks guys.

  • "We're just your lousy excape-goat!" How about a take-two?

Until now, I'd only heard the audio of this clip on Opie & Anthony (linger longer) and I always thought the guy who said that was black.

  • @BishopAP yea me too

  • @1:40 Quincy: "I wanna find an innocent girl." You don't say;)

  • There is rule of thumb all professional ball player come back for one season to many and some TV go on for 1 to 2 season to long. With Dr. Q the soap box shows started to out number the stiff shows, to the point were it was all sopa box shows. I wonder what would happen if any did a show blaming rap for a death. Jesse Jacksass would lead a protest.

  • "You need punkin' up! "(goes to bathroom and draws tiny heart on girl's cheek with eyeliner pencil).

  • "Dog without a uniform" ?

  • IT WAS MYURDER!!!

  • This episode of Quincy probably got a bunch of real punk kids beat up. Back in the 80's we had so much shit against us and then this stupid show comes along...it seems funny now, but when you're getting punched in the face for nothing more than being a punk rocker, it's not so funny. When I was 13 I had grown ass men, wanting to fight me, just because I had short hair, a skateboard, and some punk/hardcore band name on a shirt. It was shit like this that gave those ass-holes the excuse.

  • @mohair8he i remember being 15 and having a kid throw a massive chunk of cement at the back of my head while i was walking my girlfriend home as a result of how i was dressed, just barely missed, if it hadn't theres no question i would have at the very least ended up in the hospital. this was in like 05. some things never change.

  • @wannabesedated00 you couldn't possibly have been dressed any worse than these clowns, lol. But yeah, I believe it. Some people used to call me a Nazi because I wore Metallica t shirts a lot in high school o_O

  • @HearingLossProvider exactly, would wear 14 eyelet combat boots and as a result was a "nazi skinhead" until i finally got fed up enough to drop out. ironically there were neo nazis that lived in the area who fuckin hated me, hated all punks really, to the point that they would throw death threats around occasionally.. high school sucked a bag o dicks

  • @HearingLossProvider and ya haha if i looked and acted like these assholes i would have fuckin topped myself.. with a codeine overdose, sam!

  • YO WHOLE SICK SOW-CIETY!!!

  • I WISH SOMEONE WOULD POST THE WHOLE EPISODE...or does anyone know where to find it?

  • @amcelt60 yeah ive had it uploaded here forever. Check it out at

  • Listen to what the hispanic punker says: "We're just your lousy EXSCAPE GOAT, man!!" Obviously he meant "scapegoat"

  • @jazzman90405 If you listen carefully it sounds like they post-dubbed that one bit. Probably because he said "scapegoat" in the actual take and they wanted to make it clearer that "punks is igny-int."

  • And that one punk with a conscience grew up to be Anderson Cooper.

  • Uh oh. Nihilists! You can't reason with them man.

  • At 2:56....is that Larry's other brother Daryll?

  • @RedTempest666 Yes! I think it is. And Abby Garvin is Melora Hardin from the American Office.

  • @RedTempest666 Yep, it sure its. I worked on this as an extra and was sitting at the table with him. A bunch of us "authentic" punks got hired as background. We sat and laughed at all the actors who were wearing ghoul make up and rainbow wigs! I still remember Quincy spitting when he talked and the director telling us to just dance around the dead guy like that's what happened every Saturday nite. I used my money to see FEAR 540 times and bought a pair of boots that my kids now wear!

  • cuz punx totaly dress like gothic girls

  • I love the acting.

  • I wish someone would post the whole episode of this...

  • "Besides man, who the hell cares?"

Certainly not us eccentric weirdo's, we're on the fringes of society and we're not good people at all.

  • dog without a uniform

  • Good thing Punk's dead.

  • PUNX UPED

  • Reminded me that a have a number of cigarette burns on my arms. Forensic evidence of participating in the Punk scene.

  • @TranshumanCyborg And you're a typical cross dressing cock sucking liberal with daddy issues and a whore drunk for a mother. We all know who you are.

  • I love how the punks become perfectly quite as soon as quincy ask them to. Some rebels they are.

  • this shit is too funny hahahahaha

  • Your whole sick So-Sy-It-E!

  • Courtney Love is supposed to be in this ep.

  • punk rock!!!

  • @jesselakerr fuck punk rock this is hardcore punk

  • wow, i always thought the EXCAPE GOAT guy was black!

  • 0:15

  • Ol Quincy and his creepy pedder ass house boat.

  • As infamous as this soap box show is. It was not the worse one. There is one were its up to Dr. Q, to prove that Germans intentional and with malice murdered millions of people during WW2.

  • hahah @

    2:50

    "...we're just your lousy exscapegoat..."

  • Abigal muuuuuuuurder

  • if i were in the crowd, i'd have jumped up there and raped Quincy. all that damn punk rock melting my senses...

  • god this reminds me of the music video for Black Flag's TV Party, in that Dez screams QUINCY! & then everyone pours beer or throws their beer cans at him!! LOL

  • Carrot Tops finest work.

  • The Wretched Ones covered this song "choke" on their Less Is More album on TKO records

  • ROFLMAO I watch this show on netflix. It is HILARIOUS. Quincy gets so worked up!

  • my name is Quincey

  • were just your losey scape goats your the killers your whole sick socitey! Fuck yes

that guy told him. Punk Rules

  • Not exactly on the same level of WTFOMG as the infamous "Blue Boy" episode of Dragnet, but I guess you can't expect much out of early 80's drama TV.

  • We need your help the real killer is trying to push her into an asprine overdose!LOL Where just your lousy escape goats WTF

  • My favorite line from this episode was "Quincy, are you saying this music kills?" "Yes, I am."

  • parents just don't understand

  • Typical cheeseball portrayal. This isn't the way I remember punks, well, maybe some of it.

  • a john wayne movie? no there was acting in those movies

  • Stealing a Jim Norton joke!

  • Just as good as Quincy on television would have been a Quincy video game.

I mocked up an opening sequence of what Quincy could have looked like on the Commodore 64, the biggest computer of the Quincy era. Paste this title into the bar:

    QUINCY 64!

  • These kids look more like the Warriors than they do Punk Rock kids, fucking absurd but awesome!!!

  • I agree, this seems to pass an wrong image...

  • "It was a Codeine overdose, Sam! She ate a whole bottle of Flintstone's Chewables"

  • @yermomsboxx

Haha! I ate a whole bottle of Flintstone's Chewable vitamins when I was 3 or 4 yrs old. Threw up fluorescent orange everywhere. Just thought I'd share :)

  • Nice Danelectro!

  • That's what I was thinking.

  • Escape Goat !

  • It was merder, she died of codine.

  • classic

  • Molly, Zack and Abigal are punks?

  • @ballsmccoy

Zack, Molly and other non-punk sounding names are trying to get Abigail to OD on Nyquil, it was MMMMMURRRRRDER!

  • "We're just your lousy escapegoat". What the fuck is an escapegoat?

  • "No man. You're the zombie killers."

    Linger longer

  • a goat that gets out of his pen

  • those guys r real punks you can tell cause they have mohawks and face paint

  • I hung out in CBGB's and was a punk rocker in the late 70's-early 80's, This sucks beyond sucks. No one dressed like that, nor would they have acted like that. And the faux band? Beyond surreal.

  • lol carrot-top as a teenage punk rocker @ 2:25

seriously, when i was a kid during the 80s and started to listen to hardcore punk, my mom made me watch this episode to scare me. didn't work :-)

  • "That violence oriented punk rock music"

    What an awful delivery.

  • that old man at 3'15 wants to find an innocent girl? what a perv. doesn't he know they ALL got little dark secrets hiding in that hole?

  • The music is accurate, but c'mon they couldn't find real punks as extras? look how lame the crowd looks!!!

  • it was 1983. TV producers didn't know shit about punk rock or how to portray it.

  • Yeah, you are correct sir. They did do a better job on the CHIPS episode though. They actually had a few "real" punkers as extras.

  • A Cleveland band I was in did a cover of a "Pain" song from that CHiPs episode. But even the CHiPs episode was still stupid as far as portraying punk. Better than Quincy maybe, but still retarded! :)

  • What about the 21 Jump Street episode? That was true punk!!! :-) Know any other TV shows that had a punk episode? Or metal or hardcore? Oh yeah Bones did a Black Metal episode.

  • @whitedragonawa

CHiPs also did an episode with "punks". CHiPs is fucking terrible though.....watch at your own risk.

  • I saw that one. The song in that espidoe is great! PAYNE!!!

  • Freaks and Geeks-- i think the sodes called 'noshing and moshing' or some shyte

  • this has to be the worst shit ive ever seen, no i take that back. Shit has better acting

  • Quincy sticks his oar in yet again. Was this the Electric Circus in Collyhurst?

  • IT WAS MUUUUURRRDUUUHHRR SAM

  • Quincy leaves dejected. Frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuunnnkissss

  • Shows like that are partially responsible for the violence at punk shows!

  • omg, I use to love watching Quncy when I was a kid... wish more peeps would post more video's of this show

  • lol O&A have RAPED this bit and I fucking love it. Jimcy rules

  • Awful.

    "ECSCAPE GOAT"

  • SO CIEOTY!

    SO CIEOTY!

     what the hell!!!

  • this is insulting!!..cocksucker that wrote this likely wishes he had the balls to get into the pit

  • whats wrong with taking pills, shredding THEIR clothes to bits and listening to punk rock music?!?!?

  • Escape goat. Booya!

  • RAMONE!!!!!!! This music is making me homicidal.

  • Nice Jimmy Page Danelectro. Lousy excapegoats!

  • "That violence oriented punk rock music!"

Wow, that was a tongue twister to memorize. Who the heck was the script writer for this episode....Buelah Ballbricker? Maybe Tipper Gore or Nancy Reagan?

How come Quincy never did an episode exploring the dangers of the bar he used to frequent with his buddies on the show..."that drunken oriented sleazy older peoples meat-market bar cocktail music" Think of the decrease in D.W.I.'s it would have caused.

  • "Your whole sick SO-SIGH-A-TEEE!"

  • The hypocrisy of this show! They dare preach about punk music. WTF? While Quincy roots around on his boat spreading God knows what STDs all over the place. Quincy should have been deregistered as a medic, the dirty little STD magnet. What example was his sexual behaviour to young people? Shame. I say. Shame.

  • Did he go around seducing young people? His jumper is silly

  • I don't need to be a rocket scientist to see the editorial intrusion here. Clearly some politician has pressured the show into becoming a mouthpiece for the "rock pop music is violent, evil" etc spiel. That woman's words are SO ad hoc. But I suppose it was 1982. People were still shellshocked by Elvis the Pelvis then. Heck, Olivia Newton John had her music pop video banned in Utah. Olivia. She was so raunchy. Her headband...oh I am hot and wet at the memory.

  • Nope, this was ALL Jack Klugman. He was the one who moved the show from solving murders to solving social issues. I love him from the Odd Couple he was as self-righteous as anybody.

  • Forgot to add a "but" after "Odd Couple"

  • As goofy as this is, the band sounds like the real thing.

  • WTF!? That guy at 2:58 looks like Carrot Top with scary clown makeup. Funny.. I've never seen any one in clown makeup to the gigs I've been to in 25 years! (well except for some

  • I think that's one of the Daryl Brothers from Newhart.

  • hey douche, no one cares that you've been playing gigs for twenty five years. way to slip that in under the radar.....we get it you're a ROCKER...your transparency is revolting to me.

  • Comment removed

  • What the hell are you talking about!? I never said that I've "been playing gigs" for 25 years. And I never claimed to be a "rocker". If you understand simple English, I said I have gone to gigs for 25 years and never seen someone in clown make-up. What did I say that possibly so offensive to you?

Some people love the anonymity of the internet because *they* can be a douche bag. You are a very pathetic human being. Do also drown puppies on the weekends for kicks?

  • I think the lead singer is Adrian Pasdar (Nathan Petrelli from Heroes)!!

  • no garbage like the human race!

  • Pretty much every punk show I went to in the '80s someone was stabbed by an ice pick... but who really cares..

  • FRRRRUUUUNKIIS

  • Comment removed

  • "We're just your lousy EXCAPE GOAT!!!"

  • Seeck Soociety! Exscape Goat!

The Lead singer looks like Gary Glitter.

Zombie Killer girl looks like an extra from a Cyndi Lauper video.

The rest of the cast seemed to have wandered in from a roadshow production of Rocky Horror.

    Yeah, this is SO Punk.

  • I love how the punks are wearing Gothic corpse paint, and also how "MAYHEM" is scrawled across the wall in a gigantic font, LMAO.

  • Punks love John Wayne...

  • Hey the Band sounds like the Germs but I know it isn't. Its not Crime or the Dils ??? What is the name of the band they are playing The eyes, The Bags oh hell i don't know

  • I noticed that too, reminds me of a joke version of Strange Notes.

  • MAN THEYRE SO PUNK RAWK

  • damn this sick so-ciety

  • Laughing Squid treats us to this funny clip from an episode of Quincy. Jack Klugman is trying to save a young girl lured into the violent world of the punk underground. He visits to a punk rock club, bravely goes on stage, and pleads passionately for information about the girl's whereabouts. The punks, in preposterously clownish make-up, respond with sarcasm, socio-political rhetoric, and snot-nosed apathy. I enjoyed this almost as much as the Ironside clip with Tiny Tim at a beatnik club.

  • It was mmmuuuurrrdddddeeer.

  • What is Quincy first name in the show?

  • Who the hell cares?

  • Little known fact...his first name was Jimcey.

  • Linger Longer!

  • Too bad you the sound of a car crash doesn't translate in to print.

  • Where can I get this song??

  • hahahahah why are the voices all dubbed? it looks like a godzilla movie or something.

  • SOO-ciety....SAAAMMMMM

  • Darby Crash ...

  • we're just your lousy "escape" goat!

  • lol, it's even worse. i'm pretty sure he says "excape goat."

  • besides, man, who the hell cares?

  • you just think were zombie killers!

  • SAAAAAAAAM!

  • ZOMBIE KILLERS MAAAAHN!

  • freakin violence oriented music makes me wanna burn cigarette holes in my arms and shred my clothes

  • thats so funny!

  • what the fuck was that...

  • I wanna know whatever happened to mr. "we're just your lousy escaped goats" did he ever go onto doing bigger and better things?

  • frrrrrrrrrrrunkis

  • OMG...Whenever I hear this audio on O&A I always thought the "SO-CY-ity" kid was black! I know it sounds awful, but I did NOT picture him a white guy!

  • What the hell is an excape goat???...Samm my flat ass girlfriend took my member's only jacket...Do you think Jimcy likes the punk rockers???

  • Your whole sick SO-ciety.

  • It was murrrrrder Sam, murrrrrrder.

  • Linger Longer

  • blib blib

  • someone needs to give old Quincy's hair a tussle and let him not its going to be okay tiger
