research before you say something stupid, how much GHz can you're PC get up to? the mac pro from 2008 went up to 6.4GHz, seriously. The new mac pro goes only 5.86GHz but 12 physical cores and has the greatest processor ever. Intel Xeon Westmire.The 12 core mac pro is the worlds fastest and most powerful desktop computer! Fact. Did i mention that it can have up to 32GB of RAM? And 4X512GB SSD's? Forget about price, macs are for proffesianals, if you have alot of money, why not get one? Period.
@CrazyycclowN lame arguements 6.4ghz and 5.86ghz is bullshit having two 2.93ghz processors does not = 5.86ghz might aswell say it's 35.16 cus it's 12 cores. second it's not the fastest computer in the world even for a desktop. it goes up to 64gb ram no one gives a shit any motherboard that goes for $200+ can and apple will charge close to 4k just for that when it costs around $400 bucks, also i can get a ssd setup thats around 3X as fast as the 4x512gb ssd from apple. fanboy u just got owned

i custom built this baby meaning it's perfect for me, it runs without system lag and boots up in 5 seconds, runs crysis at max gfx and for $800 i can't go wrong
Or because they only have one line of producers so they have the market pricing sling over a noose. Whereas a PC nowadays you can buy something for a fifth the price, half the size with twice the speed and memory.
Have fun trying to upgrade when you need too =(. Sucks having to buy a whole new system when technology changes
