I JUST LOVED, playing on this tune and the groove was sampled many times. would have liked to get payed for that. when your a drummer that is what you condend with.
I was a very young child, livign a few doors away from where these cats rehersed in South Philly in the late '60s to early '70s, this really brings back very distant memories for me.
i envy you but wished if had lived there i would have been older always wished i could be in studio or around when guys like these were just voicing and liming so soulful
@kinglaing I totally agree with what you're saying. Sigma Sound was a 24-hour operation back then I heard cranking them hits out. As I always say, It's those songs that didn't get played on the radio or promotional push by the record companies are some of the best songs ever recorded!!
Does anyone know where one can download this amazing song? I've searched for years on Ares and Limewire to no avail-please, I'm desperate to have it for my own. Thanks to zodden for posting it here, before I had to pray and wait for it to play on the radio, which would be rare as in Jamaica it's dance hall, reggae, hip-hop/rap, etc. that rules the airways.
@rebelabyss I'm pretty sure this has very little to do with africans in america as this band was not an African-American band. They are however a band from Philly.
