Floppy emulator compared with 3.5 and 5 1/4 inch floppy drives

That looks like an awesome solution for floppy replacement but not a cheap one. According to the web link in your video, that unit cost $249 Eur. So around $333 CAD or $346 USD. I'm not sure but that is probably without shipping cost. that being said, still a great solution for someone who does need it.

but the question is: would this emulator be able to handle more than 1.44MB of info at once (actually see above 1.44MB)? Or does this depend on the operating system of the device that is using the drive?

i'm not sure why i would need a floppy emulator to replace my floppies. i can just store the information directly to the flash drive. or also i have highly modified 3 1/2 floppies that hold up to 5 gigabytes of storage. they were a present giving to me by my uncle who works with this type of stuff. theses disks are of very high density. and they load a whole lot faster than there lower capacity storage brothers.

@edmund94232 What if the only input device in a machine is a floppy disk drive and the only connection is a floppy controller? There are thousends of CNC, Molding and other machines out there with configurations like this. And I think a USB Floppy Emulator is a very good solution to bring this machines into the future.
