Every other week for 5 years I was in Myrtle Beach for a couple of days on business. Stayed at a Motel just a block away. Saw them erect this thing. I would stand on my balcony and laugh my ass off as I watched the people get on this ride. I could heard them scream. But never did I see any harm come to any of them. But, sadly, with the Pavilion and Park gone, MB is not the same. Burroughs and Chapin Real Estate is to blame. Power calls the shots. Can we say ? Hardrock Park? LOL

@Purplerluver17 She went to Family Kingdom, but it's not in the actual park. It's across from Club Karma, the teen club. It's on the strip, you really cannot miss it. It's the big "V" with the different lights and you'll notice it when you see it.

This ride wins. Personally I Airbrush at the shop to the left of the ride, and the ride operators always ask if I would like to ride when they have single riders (Gotta have two riders). In 2008, I would ride it four to six times a day on average.

My sisters were begging my mom to go on this ride, but she said it was too expensive... all of a sudden these two young men from the military who had just gotten back from serving overseas offered to pay for my sisters to go on the ride twice... we were laughing our asses off it was so fun to see my sisters reactions.. those guys payed like $200 dollars for my sisters to go on the ride!

A testament to how old the Travel Channel's footage is: The overview helicopter shot of the amusement park is not only NOT of family kingdom, but rather the pavilion amusement park (closed and demolished in 2006) and was taken back when the Corkscrew was the Pavilion's coaster, before the Hurricane opened in 2000. Much of the footage from "Family Kingdom" is actually of the defunct Myrtle Beach Pavilion. Just a tidbit of Myrtle Beach History for you guys.

Just one problem with the Freestyle Music Park. It is an amusement park and you can't tell by the name! People don't realize it is an amusement park and the best one in or around Myrtle Beach. Yes it also has music shows, but this place needs to make it clear it is an amusement park first. Great roller coaster that is pretty much the same as Incredible Hulk down in Florida at Universal. This park rocks!

The brand new Freestyle Music Park is the best thing that has happened to Myrtle Beach. In the past I thought MB was boring, but this new amusement park rocks! Great roller coaster and other cool rides. Nice shops. This is a great place for the family and kids and is a must for people who go to Myrtle Beach. Even the prices are reasonable!

I went to Myrtle Beach in 1994 - I think I went to this park.

I can't bring myself to do this ride - I would make an ass of myself, the way I scream would scare people (or crack them up). Plus, I hate heights (which is why I'm shocked I love roller coasters so much).
