at 26 my best friend has had ovarian cancer for 4 years now..only a few close friends know, sadly not even her family who she lives with.. she has never had full chemo because she is afraid of people finding out and belives she would be a burden to them..i cant change her decision but i hope that other people who come across your diary can see that cancer shouldnt be a silent battle and with the support can fight it with all they have and succeed..YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!
I can't seem to wrap my head around your best friends logic. So, she would rather cause her family more pain by her possible death? An experience like chemo is hard but it can save her life... and her loved ones would probably be more than happy to help her through the tough times. It's those sorts of times that bring people together and make them realize whats important.
I know I'm preaching to the choir but I just had to rant a bit.
what youve said is exactly what i think! just dont understand her ....keep on posting you are a great support to many...... hope your well and take care Xx
Hey there, it's great to see that you are doing well and cancer free! you look amazing!
I have a question for you i guess, I'm 20 years old from Sydney Australia and 2 months ago I got diagnosed with ovarian cancer, lucky for me it was only very early. But my question is did you tell all your friends? and did you find any of them reacted badly, or treated you differently, i have kept it very quiet so far as I am scared of how they will react an scared of losing my friends
i have cancer , and even though cause im only 12 , i had to tell evryone , i think it would be best if you told your frineds and familyy 0- you need someone to vent your problems to and someone to help you cause some days - you'll be feeling too tiredd to do thing for yourself ! take care
Hi Jessie! I'm sorry it has taken me so long to reply.
Just like QuelloFreddo said, it's probably a good idea to tell some people. I'd start by telling your family and close friends. It really helps to have a web of support and you can tell whether or not you want to be more open about it by how you feel sharing with those close to you.
Don't be worried about your friends! If they are you're real friends they will be by your side, not leave you. And, if they do... Good riddance.
wow i love yur eye brows, so happy to see your video and see your doing good. if yu ever need to let out yur feelings yu can talk to me and say whatever yu want
"im looking at the comment box right now, not anything else" hahaha. love yu girlie :)) ! xxx
