  • Gettin 39-43c idle havent played nethin yet to see load temps

  • Would`nt get the h50 or h70 ... just got my new h50 from newegg 7/15/11 and the radiator fins were all trashed ... all i got for my 90 bucks was a really pretty cardboard box and a few sheets of instructions .... enjoy

  • for the north bridge just make a simple water cooling setup small pump and the smallest rad u can find since u wont be cooling a whole bunch

  • nice rig! I had the case too but I switched to a HAF X. I kinda miss that case since it was quieter, but I guess thats the tradeoff for more airflow.

  • i got the H50 and i installed myself but my question is if is normal that the both hose get warm??

  • Thanks for sharing this video. I'm thinking of getting H50 for my first Non Air Cooling solution. Must you buy a Fan seperately for the H50 radiator?

  • @Scortech Go with the improved one, H70. It will come with 2 fans so that you can set up a push-pull configuration easily and you do not to spend extra money on fans.

  • @chanyufei Thanks for reply. I see the H60 will come out in march. Think I will try to wait for that.

  • @chanyufei is not like he will spend "extra money" on fans, the H70 only improves 3/4ºc compared to the H50 just beause it has a 2nd fan, but it costs 20€ more than H50, so with 20€ u can buy 1 or 2 fans and the price will be the same as the H70. then H50 with 2 fans vs the H70 with 2 fans also when it comes to tepms. there is no diference, the H70 is ust a markting item cause its not that better than H50 u will only notice a diference in 1-2ºc when u go over the 3.8Ghz.

  • @kurokitenshi You cant have an H50 with 2 fans because the pump of the h50 is higher than h70..

  • @shootout52 How is it that I have a H50 with two fans then.

  • LOL Naruto Fan? The music in the back :D

  • what is the right cpu temp for overclocking.....how high can the temp be before i have to worry

  • @ixy1987 I think if temp is below 70c then it is OK.

  • The light is yellow.

  • I'd say 80C is acceptable at 100% load, but ther won't be much more room to get it even hotter.

  • you dont tuch them on ur hand without safe with ESD!

but u tuch them and u harm them stupid boy and dump people.. go back to skool learn how to safe.

  • Nice, i have kinda the same thing, different case. Lots of hot air. Needs to be proper air flow (i don't have that)

  • the corsair is water cpu water cooler.....the water is inside????

  • nice build and nice overclock

stable 4.0GHz overclock with the idle temp @ ~32c and full load temp of ~52c. is pretty good xD

  • does the h70 fit in the 800d? have the same and want to put the radiator in the top will it work?

  • @smoggo456 Sure, it can fit in 800D. You could mount the radiator on the top however this may interfere the air flow in 800D. So my suggestion is mounting the radiator as Corsair recommended and mount 3 x 120 mm fans on the top to exhaust the warm air out.

  • @chanyufei aha, okey but it looks nicer with it at the top, u ust agree, but doesnt the radiator goes out like 7m on the mobo?

  • @smoggo456 `cm*

  • @chanyufei You can fit a car radiator in the 800D. Amazing case.

  • Im pretty sure u can archive 4.2ghz or more very easy just keep in mind the temperature when is full load

  • if you switch from 4gz to stock.do you have to go in the bios every time ? second is there any software that can safely oc ? i want to play it safe until i can adjust it manually. thx in advance

  • @darkarchon777 Yeah, I change it to stock clock in bios every time. Just save the preference bios settings and select it when needed. Manufactures usually have their own oc softwares. You could turn to your motherboard manual. But for a steady oc, manual setting will be better and you could slowly increase your processor's clock and voltage. You will need some time to play with your rig and the most important thing is, you need a nice and reliable cooling device for your CPU.

  • 2:23 Nos Bridge

  • what is the case ur using?

  • Hey does anyone think I could paint the pipes and anything else on it Green UV Reactive Paint? Because you can't really replace the fluid that easily. or could I just put some sorta UV Reactive coil thing around the pipes?

    Thanks,

  • sweet build! how much u pay?

  • Just a point to make,

You've got it pulling cold air in from the back of the case.

However your graphics card and PSU are venting its heat out the back and your CPU cooler is bringing it back through and onto the radiator.

Why do you move the CPU radiator and fan to the top near the front of the case?

  • The static noise that you hear from your front panel audio connections is due to electric interference. Make sure that some of the cables are not tuck close to the front panel. Also make sure that you connected the case's ground wire. My Antec 1200 gave me problems like that too,but I fixed it by messing with my cable management.

  • have that coler to its pretty good o i think i am having the same mother to ;D

  • rating 10/10 this pc is awesome well done :)))

  • THIS is a F.O.B pc

  • damn dude, nice clean computer. no messy wires...

  • NICE PC DUDE

  • Hmm... I wouldn't really call it a step into the water cooling world until you build it, but hey, it uses water.

  • Nice vid and nice hardware but...

I totally desagree with the naruto song i really hate animes...-.-

  • Very nice set up it's been a few months now so how is the set up still running currently? Pretty good?

  • Hello, i just built a newer rig. I have a intel i7 920 on stock cooling. It runs at about 51c at normall. I am about to move the computer into a very warm room. I would like to upgrade my current cooler but would this be worth it? thanks

  • @Aus1095 How warm will the room be? if running on stock cooling at stock frequency (2.6GHz) and you get a ~51c, I suggest you upgrade your cooler. And if your ambient temp is really high, a full water cooling loop would be more effective rather than using H50 alone. I guess H50 or other similar products should be fine.

    Hope this helps.

    Andy

  • hey dont u get air bubbles up side down? i thought the hoes suppose to b on the bottom

  • @scampe187 At the very beginning you can hear the sound of bubbles but later it will be really quiet. So I suppose there is no problem with it (H50).

  • @chanyufei

    Gay.... why use a H50? ¬¬

why not get a custom loop? the temps will be 20C lower!

  • @BKsMassive not 20C, only like max 10C, and a costum loop is way more expensiver.

  • Cool vid!

  • Great build man....The Corsair 800d is indeed a good cable manager by itself...

  • @videorising Exactly!

  • enjoyed seeing your rig, am building my first computer for gaming (kinda a long term project ive been wanting to do for a while) am curently looking at buying the corsair H50-1 that u use in your system, also going to install the gigabyte Ga-790fxta-ud5 motherboard.

have never overclocked a compy before so this is a new idea for me.

love the music in your video, could you tell me what it is please?

  • @TheRoach2010 Please refer to the description of this video to see where download the music. Hope you are enjoying your rig & OC now! :)

  • Love the case, clean. How is the Corsair water cooler? Noise, ect.

  • @Monokesan It is quiet and under 2.6GHz, it gives me a 36c, although a little bit expensive. :)

  • Pretty good cable management. Nice and clean. Good that you unplug stuff that you dont use:-)

  • @Mikke06 Thank you :)

  • @Mikke06 Yeah :P

  • name of the case?

  • @SirGomez81 Corsair 800D

  • Wow that is a clean build!!!! Excellent job not just on the cooling but that cable management is pro.

  • @crazyskiier0023 Thank you for your appreciations!

  • everythings fine i also have the h50 but this crap blows damn much dirt in the case-.-

  • @dastschicken LOL, yeah, fans are always nice except for a clean case.

  • Love the system and the video! You definitely have a future in overclocking. I appreciate you taking the time to go threw each piece, certainly helps when youre on the fence about a purchase.

  • Thank you for the kind words. I list the detailed purchased items here because I did receive a lot from Youtube. So I think by sharing these with youtubers is a really good communication and of course I can progress my knowledge on O,C, and case modding.

    Cheers!

    Andy

  • I came very close to buying the 800D

I was kind of turned off by how flimsy the sides are

The cable management is a great concept though

I am not into the whole side window thing either so I bought a Cosmos RC-1000 instead

    Quiet but airflow needs work

    I am running a Corsair H50 with a push/pull

  • hmmm... yeah, that is a little problem of 800D however not a very big deal to me. As for the concept of wire management, actually one can achieve almost the same result by using any tower. Hope you enjoy your rig!

Currently, I am running the H50 in push/pull too. :)

    Andy

  • I love your system I think I would be copying your set up on my Ex58-UD5 with i7 920. I need to go get that cooling system too. My V8 is not working for me.

Do you run 4.0 all the time or you only put it up when you run the game.

  • Yeah, EX58-UD5 is really really nice. Although H50 is not the best but still a good choice as for the CPU cooler. Currently I am preparing to use a real water cooling loop for my i7 and replace H50.

No, I do not always go that high. Only when I have to render my interest protein when using the molecular visualization software as well as video making software to generate a video for that, I will turn to 4 Ghz. Of course when I play ninjia blade I will also go that high.

    Andy

  • Love the system! very nice, and very good cable management! Keep up the good work ;-) all the best.

  • Thank you very much for the kind words!

    Andy

  • nice naruto;)

  • Yeah~!

I used to be the fan of that cartoon. :)

    Andy

  • Nice system but man it would annoy me to no end if my board lit up when I overclocked.

  • Saweet gaming PC

  • Nice Vid !. You sound like a really nice guy to. I wish you luck with your computer. I just got a new machine myself and the same CPU cooler but mine is a Phenom II 3.4GHz.

    Good music as well.

  • im looking at the same things now!

if you overclock it can you tell me how it goes?:)

  • No problem but I will be taking my time with overclocking as it can be hazardous and I don't have any reason to at the moment. AMD does have some overclocking software for the Phenom II called AOD (OD stands for overdrive) . It does things automatically or more in-depth if you want.

  • Very nice spec on your system. I like that case but it's so huge. Well I hope you enjoy your computer. :) Other than that watercooling system. I look into if for you and get back to you ok.

  • i'm have the same spec like you ... h50 water cooling ... but what is your QUI vcore and how u can set CPU vcore voltage: 1.2500V, if i set at 1.26 it won't get into window :(( and all the light was on ... went the temp idle like 41 and NB was 48 same as you but why the light on ?

  • what..is your e-penis larger now? totally not interesting

  • so why do u watch this vid??? got no friends???

  • no friends :(

  • then dont watch the video dumbass

  • v droop is tech that undervolts the CPU if u disable u can get a more constance current to cpu

  • hah, naruto song :P

  • Yep :P

  • I luv that case :P

  • Me too, dud :)

  • Disable speedstep, ce1 and vdroop control. Also pointless to use core damage just test with prime95 or orthos for 4-8 hours on blend you will be good.I am a overclocker anything you need let me know.

  • OK!

Thanks for the suggestions! I will try that! :)

  • if u disable v droop u wont have to have that high o voltages

  • Hi,

sorry what do you mean by "disable v drop" plz?

  • you want a core temp of 67C or under anything higher then that and your cpu will start to burn up, it will take some time before it dies but dont allow it to run that hot for long peroids of time. So max 70C, if you go 4.0Ghz go with real water cooling thats what I'm going to do. I have the corsair h50 too I dont like it, does not do good on my Raven RV01. If you need to know what good water cooling parts to get let me know. Also whats that song your playing in the background I like it give name

  • Hey, sorry for the late reply.

Thx for your suggestions and I do plan to try a full loop on my 4.0Ghz oved i7 and I am collecting info of rads, fans, res, pumps and tubes and have bought some :P. However, for my heavy study at graduate level, I have to wait before assemble them all till maybe late march this year..... :(

I cannot add link in the reply so plz turn to my vid info for the download link for both songs :)

    Cheers,

    Andy

  • dont be scared cool that mobo off too, give her what she wants!

  • if sbdy wants a cheap cpu cooler......should see akasa evo blue and install two fans

  • Nice job, but if you enjoy liquid cooling and plan to get into it, I would suggest a full loop, they cool a TON better than the all in ones like the one you have in there now. Of course, everyone has to start somewhere.

  • You are right. Dezki.

H50 is where I start from but I am currently considering to use a full loop for cooling my CPU. This should be a long way to go. Anyway, something is on its way.... LOL

Because of my lab work, my water cooling steps will be slowed down a little bit. But I will "keep moving"!

    :P

  • Awesome video, I have recently received my Corsair 800D Case, I am going to start building in it when the Nvidia 300 Series cards come out. Your cable management looks great very tidy. If you are still looking for some fans I have heard great things about the Sycthe Gentle Typhoon 120mm Case fans, They are apparently really good. Thanks for the video!

  • Thank you very much for your comment and nice suggestion!

Yeah, I am planning to purchase several Sycthe Gentle Typhoon fans (120mm) tomorrow here at Memory Express. Still spending time on deciding which water cooling system to buy... for the reason that I am also waiting for the 300 series so, perhaps I will just get the motherboard water block from EK. Also, I am still collecting infor about which reservoir, pump and radiator to choose....

  • And... right now I would like to order some sleeving pack from MDPC-X to enhance the cable management and case mod :-P

Tons of fun waiting I believe!

  • Cool. Hope you make a vid of the update. I chose the Black Ice GTX360 Radiator because allot of people recommended it to me and it fits perfectly on the top 3 fan mounts of the 800D so look into that if you like. Oh and the DD12V-D5 Pump with variable speeds from Laing its quiet and works great.

  • Yeah! I have purchased 5 of GT fans @ 1850 rpm, 2 of them I installed on the H50 as an intaking set of push and pull, which give me a ~28c on idle cpu and ~61c on the hottest core of cpu after 1hr of prime95 testing. Pretty awesome fans!

    Thanks for the suggestion!

I am now using the Core Damage to generate a heavy load testing on my i7 and after 23mins the hottest core gave me a 76c. I am keeping forward...... (thinking of modding my H50 with some other rad :P)

  • Hi

i m planning to get 2 fans 1850rpm as push and pull for my corsair 50h , shall i use a fan controller or shall i connect them directly to my mobo and if so can you tell me the procedure or if you can share your experience

    thanks in advance

  • Hi, I directly connect the fans to the mobo and as a push-pull set up H50 did not give me an expected temp drop but anyway, i am happy with these fans, acceptable air flow and low noise with good static pressure for rads. My suggestion is do not try to expect too much temp drop by using H50. So... it depends on you dude, how noise you can bare and how much temp drop you would like to see(perhaps try 38mm thick fans).

    Hop this helps :)

  • Another info I forget to mention, before choosing the GT-1850, probably you could turn to Martin's youtube channel to see his noise and voltage test on some outstanding fans.

  • I have added Martin's channel on the info section of this vid so that you can easily turn to his page :)

  • i love that case man!! badass son

  • Yea, I really love my case :)

  • OK, that's it. Totally agree. Still need some additional fans to improve the air flow in this 800D case....

  • Cool, I dont think it has to be 2 powerfull, I used corsairs one to pull in and stock 1200 case one pull pull it out, I may try turning back fans up and seeing if it lowers it though.

And yes I use the corsair for cpu only, I used to have a full water cooling set-up but it leaked on my gfx card lol though the card still worked it ran dam hot after that lol

  • Wow... you have a full liquid system already? that's really cool! Dose the CPU water block of that liquid system work better than the H50? What band of liquid system did you purchase from?

I found there was a mb water block for the north/south bridge and the mosfet of the GIGABYTE EX58 series. I dunno whether it is worthy of changing my already built-in north bridge water block into that big mb water block...

  • you can not compare the h50 to a customer built water loop. Even if the custom loop has the worst water block in the world it could have a dual 120mm rad or maybe a quad rad which should out perform the h50 always.

  • MTX from what i read you have a antec 1200 case and a H50. If this is so try turning the back exhaust fans around to make them intake. Leave the front fans as intake as well. Since the antec 1200 has teh big boy at the top all the air will be pushed into the center of the case and the big boy will grab it and yank it out. This gave me the best temps so far and the airflow of the big boy improves greatly. Stock setting the big boy does very little. This setup makes it do all the work and its good

  • At the moment that's what I do, well i still one fan at the back the right way, but my temps ant bad 35idle 70 71 maxed out isn't bad, but i may switch the other one around.

    What temps you getting?

  • the i7 920 at 3.8 idle is 36 to 39. I say that because it changes depending on how long its idle. A full night idle is 36. max load on prime 95 is 69ish. This varies greatly based on what else im doing in the office. I build, mod, and work on pcs so the more gear in the office the higher my temps are due to ambient heat. At any time i have anywhere from my three desktops running and my 4 laptops and usally 3 to 7 customer rigs as well.

  • besides EVGA make pretty good boards too.

  • Strongly agree!!!

    I wanna a pair of EVGA GTX295s~~~~ T_T

  • I'm personally going to wait for Fermi, I don't want to invest in DX10. I got a GTX 260 as well.

I will probably keep that to handle Physx :-)

and have two GT300 cards in SLI :-)

  • Ha, that is also what I would like to do. :-P

  • Yeah, lol :-)

  • Hello, I have the same hardware as you (Corsair 800D, H50, and 6GB Dominators) but don't know which motherboard to pick as of yet.

How is that Gigabyte EX58? Also why is it posting FF on temp display?

  • Hi Smurfed,

It's not a temp indicator. That is the Debug Led showing the error code for the mb troubleshooting and FF means "Boot attempt (INT 19h)".

You can find my updated information on the right under the column "more info" in youtube.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    Andy

  • Gigabyte x58 mobos are so post to be good.

  • I usually try to buy from EVGA myself, for their lifetime warranty, I recently had a power supply go, and fry EVERYTHING, which included my GTX 260, they have no problem replacing it, most companies don't cover issues caused by external sources, XFX doesn't, they even say it in their info.

Gigabyte's most expensive board is a 3 year warranty, which isn't too bad, but I feel good knowing, if I happen to have the parts longer, than I'm covered if they ever fail. :-)

  • Nice vid, the H50 is very good and that case is brill for cable management lol I hope to get that case myself soon.

  • Thanks!

Yea, I like H50 as time goes by now, the temp of CPU is really acceptable. :P

But you already had a nice case, didnt you? LOL(saw from your most recent video)

  • lol the antec 1200 is good but cable management isn't great unless you drill holes lol..

Plus the Corsair 800D looks like a very nice case. I read your info you get 41c idle and 80c load? mine is 35ish idle 70c 100% load, But i notice you don't have 2 fans on it (push and pull effect) that may help lower but there good temps.

  • Thank you for your suggestion, bro! :-)

Yea, I saw someone got lower temps on that 2fans setting, approx. 4~5c lower. Im planning to add another fan on the radiator to improve the airflow.

PS, What is your cooler for the CPU?
