you can argue whether or not he is good in your "expert" opinion(as many youtube viewers seem to think they are the originator of everything and know everything), but the simple fact is, he plays with soul, heart and love. Just look at his face whe he plays. Its awesome to find that in a generation where everyone just plays breakdowns and "polyrythyms". I love this dude to to death and he is a HUGE influence when im just jamming on my kit by myself. If you're gonna hate, hate somewhere else.

Can anyone tell me whats on that cymbal stack exactly? I can see at least one china on bottom with an EFX crash on top. I'd like to know the sizes and exactly whats in there. Wikipedia says he toured with 16" oriental china x2, 9" oriental splash, 18" efx crash, but that can't be right from the looks of it here...

You can play hard and not beat the crap out of your drums, case in point, Morgan Rose from Sevendust. Hes one of the hardest hitting drummers Ive seen live. He ALSO doesnt look like hes trying to beat his drums into submission. THATS what I mean.

What did you expect? Plain 4/4-beat with bass drum on 1/3 and snare at 2/4. Listen to his work on "The Bedlam in Goliath", Mars Volta-album. This guy serves the song, plain and simple isn't always the best. Sometimes fucked up difficult overplaying is nice too.
