The gen 6 board is one of a few boards that can be used, I used the Arduino Mega 2560 with the Ultimachine Ramps v 1.4 board which plugs onto the Arduino Mega, then 4 stepper motor drivers and an sd card reader that plug onto the ramps board which I also purchased from Ultimachine, these boards would be the latest and greatest to be used on the Prusa Mendel, thanks, Jeff.

Is the gen.6 board what is called ramps or does one need a ramps board in addition to the gen 6 board?
